Disgrace. Customer service is no exsistant. They took payment for another 6 month subscription because I failed to cancel in the small window you get to cancel it. I called emailed FB messaged and get replies days later saying if I return the 1st box I recieve back they will refund me the whole 6months. I returned the box with the shipping label they provided me with.... 1 month later still no refund. They told me they have not received my box back. Now I have paid 75 quid and have neither a refund or box. Swerve clear of this unorganised scam

Firstly the products are okay. Nothing fantastic but ok. Fine, I can live with that. I wouldn’t want a years worth of boxes but they are mostly not terrible. HOWEVER - their customer service is a disgrace. Clearly there is some kind of HR nightmare or whatever because it seems they must have limited people working for them. They seem to think it is perfectly acceptable to provide NO customer service. It is abhorrent. You could send them thousands of emails and you would be lucky to receive a reply to one of them. My last box never arrived and Hermes claims it had been delivered which is interesting because the boxes go to my work address which is flooded with CCTV. No delivery attempt was even made. I’ve written to Birchbox regarding this and have had no response. Get a Glossybox or something. These guys suck.

Problem after problem with delivery with this company. The whole reason I subscribed was as a little treat for myself, so to have a constant battle finding out what had happened to each month’s box just totally defeated the purpose. I can see on instagram that many other customers experience the same issue, as well as problems with the contents - broken or missing items, items which don’t match your beauty profile. Honestly it’s mostly crap boxed up in a pretty package, I wouldn’t bother subscribing.

Emailed regarding a damaged product - no response. Emailed regarding a none delivery, Hermes say they delivered the box a week ago and left it at the reception, that’s novel as I live in a house without a reception and there was someone home all day on the day Hermes are saying they delivered. Birch Box your customer service is terrible. It looks like I’ll be unsubscribing again for the second time but I’ll not be subscribing again. Get your act together there are plenty of competitors out there!

Birchbox content has got meaner and meaner over the past year and now represents very poor value for money. It's even worse when the products they send cannot be used by you. I'm dark skinned with curly hair and I've repeatedly written to Birchbox about this matter and even sent photos to show them what I mean. The first time I wrote they asked me to give them time to rectify the problem. They simply continued to provide products which I had to give away. The last time I wrote I sent sent photos to show them what I mean. I have not had any acknowledgement. I've asked for a complaints procedure or contact details of their CEO and I've had no response.

Cancelled my subscription a few days before the cut-off (around 25th June) and they billed me and sent me July's box anyway, I emailed them and they told me I cancelled it too late and said I cancelled it on the 4th July which was atleast a week after I cancelled so I know that's definitely not the real date! I replied twice telling them they've made a mistake but they seem to just be ignoring me now, absolute scam artists, I wouldnt recommend and will be taking my payment details off just incase they try it again.

How they DID, I don't know. ***FRAUD*** ■Had an active account with a 3 months free gift card they sent me on June, and I was charged this month (July). They cancelled it without being required After contacting them several times, they do not give a proper response, it's just mixed explanations and asking once the boxes are received they must be sent back to get a refund. So you'd need to pay postage also. The courier tried to deliver the boxes today, I rejected them and IMMEDIATELY I let them know demanding my refund FOR THREE charges, almost £40!!! I did not get a reply, obviously!!! Impossible to get in contact with them by phone, you leave a message and they don't call back. And by mail they can 2-3 to response I'm tired of this quite frankly. I just want my money back. Money that they took Fraudulently!!!

On going issue - they don’t read your email properly and answer the question so it goes all round the moon to different advisors !!! Which is infuriating !! I tryed to phone yesturday that was a TOTAL JOKE !! ... left all my details when the ringing finally went to voicemail and nobody got back to me !! I’m now awaiting a response on something that’s been missing out of my MAIN shop order with them that they didn’t put in my box but charged me for !!! This has gone on for days with no successful conclusion . Iv been loyal to brand for over a year now but my patience wearing thin and seriously thinking of changing to a different brand and they will lose my £120+ month a year Alison Buckley
