I love the birchbox system I loved getting a box every month but I wish it was a little bit more customized I rather have tea or hair tye or fancy bobby pins or hair wrap or mini hand towel or a candle or nail polish or body shimmer and bath oil and yoga stuff..stuff to relax .....instead of receiving fragrance ( yogini was my only love) and eye cream and shampoo and conditioner .... I guess I prefer more lifestyle products which I thought birch box was more of.... I prefer a bath product over eye cream. I just gave more stuff away then I got to keep but that's all the surprise system in subscription service you don't get to choose what you get in your box, for the fact to be able to try something you haven't used. But this was a fun experience I'm just going the organic natural vegan route. like I loved the limited edition box free for all I think it was called, like last year or some time ago. It was glorious and I understand the cost can go up if the box was affiliated with those brand and you want it to stay at the ten dollar point that's amazing, thinking about the people and advancing with pick an item and upgrade or pick the entire curated box... It was a great advance in service. Overall I had great service I just did not use 90% of what I received in the two years I have been receiving birchbox.... I will continue to shop birch box cause their online shop is phenomenal and accumulate some points... Thanks for the great service until I decide to sign up for boxes again...

I have been a Birchbox subscriber for over three years but when my subscription ends in December I will not be renewing. I like the wide variety of products that they have in the shop but I am constantly getting samples that are inappropriate for my skin type and coloring. Also, I get way to many shampoo and conditioner samples. In 2014, I received shampoo and conditioner in 9 out of my 12 boxes. That is too many. They do have awesome limited edition boxes that they release every few months and their customer service is stellar. I don't recommend a monthly subscription but do recommend the Birchbox shop.

While the superior point system will get most customers to stay with the company, the actual boxes have severely declined in quality over the past year.

My first impression of BB was great. Was loving the products but then it seemed like the products were not things I was as excited about. I do NOT like getting purfume samples as I am very sensitive to most. But I have received several which for me is a waste. I have honestly signed up for Ipsy which from what I am hearing I will love much more than BB. My subscription just renewed so you have me for another year but if things do not get better, I will be cancelling my subscription with BB. You really need to recognize that lots of folks have issues with perfumes and if I can't use it...it is a total waste of a sample for me.

Lately I have had some issues with broken/damaged product, and while I understand HOW the product gets to me isn't truly the fault of Birchbox, I'd rather have it replaced in lieu of points being added to my account. I'd rather try the actual products to see whether I'd want to buy them or not, but lately they seem to be out of stock of the products I received that were damaged. The first time, the points I received weren't even comparable in monetary value to what I was even out.

It seems bb has been getting a little chintzy with their boxes. Samples have gotten super small and full size items (I used to get them occasionally) have disappeared. It seems more focus is on the design of the boxes (beautiful but still just a paper box) than what is inside. Probably will not renew.
