Ordered a living room set on black Friday. Got half of it mid January and received what should have been our last piece February 10th and it was the wrong piece so now we have to wait another week or so just for it to come in. Do not buy from this store

My family and I purchased a bed set, washer/dryer, refrigerator, sofa, 3 kitchen tables, 5 end tables, an entry way table, 2 lamps, and 2 night stands over a 1 month period. The only items delivered without issues were the bed, the sofa, and 2 of the kitchen tables. The refrigerator came damaged (twice) and did not include the parts required for it to work in the garage. The dryer did not come with the correct power cord and we were not given our laundry detergent for the washer. One of the end tables was not put together. The 2 night stands were not on the delivery truck, so they couldn't be delivered when scheduled. Two of the end tables and the entry way table were not delivered until a month after I paid for them. The "white glove" delivery service left my door open the entire time, even when people were not coming in/out, let boxes/banding/trash blow across my yard which they didn't pick up, and they drove 100+ feet off of my driveway creating a large rut. They never mentioned this, we discovered it after they left. At least the delivery company did the right thing and took care of the issue, wish we could same the same for Big Sandy The sales associate in the store never told us we were supposed to take the lamps with us, so we had to return to the store to get them and this took over 1 hour to pick up lamps we already paid for. After the sales associates made their sales to us they never showed any interest in providing customer service after that point. They work off commission and is their main focus, so beware of that going in. On numerous occasions we called the store needing to speak with our sales associates, we were told they would call us back and never received a call. We hoped that we found our one stop store for furnishing our new house but after this experience will never shop at Big Sandy again. It was the most frustrating experience and we spent so much of our time dealing with issues, it was not worth it at all.

The sales associate kept walking a way to help other customers. I felt abandoned and had to figure things out on my own.

Warehouse employee was hostile. Refused to do what was asked then told me to wait outside. I will never return to do business with you even though the sales you run are fantastic.

Make sure you get all your questions answered and also the parts to make your purchase work. Left hanging for 3 weeks now and still no closure.

Ordered a sectional couch. Come with a free television set. It took them 4 tries to get the furniture delivered undamaged. Then the tv was defective. Did not come with a remote or the paper work. Must have been a floor model. They did give me another tv. I had to go pick it up.

Horrible not even a phone call when couldn't deliver on time

Your salesperson Spencer at Big Sandy Superstore in Ashland Kentucky has been one of the worst customer service sales agent I have ever had. He lied to me and my husband on the monthly payments amount on the new furniture we purchased. Spencer during the time we were in the store was professional and answered all our questions. During the time he was assisting us in choosing the living room furniture, He was called away to help another customer he had been assisting earlier. therefore the store manager took over assisting us until Spencer was finished with the other customer. The manager assisted in application process for credit approval. The manager told us the payment would be almost 400.00 a month. We told the manager we couldn't do that--that is around the amount I pay monthly for my new car. My husband and I declined and was leaving to go to another store to shop For furniture. On the way out Spencer stopped us to see if we were approved for the furniture. My husband and I explained we were approved but the payments was going to be almost 400.00 a month and we was not interested. Spence asked us to allow him to contact the creditor to see What the monthly payment would be. Several minutes later Spencer said he was told that it was a special for 6 months same as cash for around 400 a month and no interest. just like the manager had said. However he said the credit company said if we didn't want to Do that We could pay 68.00 a month over a longer period of time with monthly interest rate. I asked him to repeat that again to make sure my husband and I understood the terms and monthly payments. Again Spencer said 68.00 a month with interest over a longer period of time or we could do 400.00 a month with no interest and the furniture had to be paid in 6 months. We told him we wanted the 68.00 a month payment and that we could not pay more than that. When Spencer got the paper work completed and brought it over to sign I again verified the monthly payment and made it clear I could not pay anymore than that. After our furniture was delivered and set up we in turn gave our furniture to another family. My new furniture was beautiful. The men who delivered was wonderful. My husband and I was completely happy. I was making plans to return for another purchase later on. We are needing a bedroom suite and mattresses. I know Big Sandy always runs great sales during Tax Season. When we got our first bill it was 165.00 and some change. We both panicked. We were shocked. That was along way from what were were promised our payments would be. My husband called Big Sandy and asked to speak to Spencer. The person who answered the phone said he was with a customer so she took our message and said Spencer would return our call. He never called us back. So after a few days I called Back and spoke to the operations manager that assisted us previously the one who got us approved. I explained to the manager what had happened and our conversation we had with Spencer after we declined the deal With him. The manager said we had to have misunderstood. I was furious!!!! I explained there was no misunderstanding or miscommunication. I explained again what happened and that I asked Spencer again before I even signed the papers the monthly payments was going to be 68.00 and each time Spencer said yes. I complained to the operations manager Spencer is being dishonest. The manager in a round about way kept defending Spencer and continued to claim i misunderstood what my payment would be. I reminded the manager when employees LIE to customers to make a sale it can ruin the companies reputation. I told the manager I have a budget I live by and this will cause us financial hardship. I told the would be telling everyone I know about what his employee did to us. I explained people will be getting tax returns and won't be coming to their store because no one wants to be lied too. The managers resolution for us was for me to call the creditor and see if the payments could be lowered. I was so hurt and upset that now it was my problem to work it out with the credit company. The manager at BIG SNDY didn't want to take any responsibility in resolving this issue and he was standing by Spencer. I was furious and fearful all at the same time because this was not in my budget and I was lied to in order for Everyone to profit off my misfortune. I called and spoke to the credit company's manager. I was told the payment cannot be lowered that Big Sandy was the only one who could resolve the issue When I got off the phone I was in tears. I was so heartbroken and angry. I could not trust anyone at this point at your store. I had given my furniture away and If I go to another furniture store then they too would have to process another application for credit then my credit score would be negatively impacted. I just sat and cried like a baby. I cannot pay almost 166.00 a month I am appalled that anyone can be so greedy and dishonest and that Big Sandy condones this kind of business practice. I will be reporting you to the Better Business Bureau and to Attorny Generals Consumer Protection Bureau for what you have done. I am furious of such unethical business practices That is going on at YOUR STORE!!! The reputation of a company is what determines the success of any company. My husband and I have been a long time customer of yours. I was always treated honestly and fairly at Big Sandy in Grayson ky and your store at Ashland Ky UNTIL NOW!!!!! I trusted your employee to continue to carry on what your business had always done in the past. Later, The manager from BIG SAndy called Me back and explained he escalated My issue up and was told there was nothing they could do to lower the monthly payments to what I was told which was 68.00. I felt throughout all of my conversations with The manager that he didn't believe me because the manager told Me that Spencer told him that he never told us our payments would Be 68.00. He said Spencer showed him the paper work and it said 165.00. Spencer never showed me any paper work that said that. I told the manager again that Spencer was lying and that I asked him 3 different times the amount because I knew what he told me the payment would Be but Spencer said the credit company said 68.00 with monthly interest over a longer period of time. The manager accused me of misunderstanding. The manager later in the conversation after Much heated debate offered to pick up The furniture and refund what I paid down. I agreed and the truck from Big Sandy was later scheduled a pick up on a Friday. Over the next couple of days I was trying to figure out what I was going to do. If I sent the furniture back my family and I was going to have to Sit in the floor. I would have no furniture. I gave mine away to another family. I was reflecting on all the conversations that had occurred. The horrible service I was given. I was lied too and accused of lying on Spencer (implied by the manager at Big Sandy) and then accused of misunderstanding the monthly payment. I could not go to another furniture store because of the impact it would have on my credit rating if it was run again. I would be sitting on the floor. I was devastated. I cried and cried. I loved my furniture but nothing is worth this. But I didn't feel I had much of a choice either. It was either sit in the floor or lower my credit rating by getting new furniture at another store or just suck it up and keep the furniture. Spencer and BIG SANDY WON!!! They got their money. Our family can't sit in the floor. We have to have furniture. I can't have my credit rating lowered because my husband and I are needing to purchase another vehicle that is desperately needed. I called the manager back and told him I deceided to keep the furniture. He asked me what changed My mind. I explained I worked it out with the creditor and left it at that. I was not going to embarrass myself by telling him I was defeated by him, Spencer, and BIG SANDY company. I was not about to humiliate myself before him or admit defeat or explain any further personal information to justify my decision. I will never ever purchase anything from BIG SANDY. I will never recommend your company to anyone. I will tell everyone and advertise what has happened to me. I am sure I am not the first customer to complain on the Ashland Kentucky store for the unethical business practices that are going on There. I learned they lie and cover for one another and place blame on the customer. You got your last money from me and my family. I was a loyal and honest customer with your business and in return YOU violated many business practices. Where is your loyalty with me as a customer? Why was I not given quality Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction. Why was I lied to and accused of not understanding my payment. Your manager and company can stand with your employees that are ripping customers off. But in the same token what dishonest business practices is your employees doing to your company?
