I thought the purchasing process was fine, except that I purchased the warranties and premium installation packages only to find out that to change the dryer door opening Big Sandy said it would be ANOTHER service call and a $99.99 fee! They said I should have asked about the door direction at the time I ordered the appliances. Do better Big Sandy.

The "in stock" dishwasher took over a week to become available for pick up. And still was not ready the day it was supposed to. I was then talked into getting the hookup kit (yest a new hose is worth getting) but the kit was not the correct advertised/described kit. Had to get a different one, and now need to return the other.

Shane our salesman in the kenwood location was pretty good, friendly and fun. Our 1st purchase of a sofa, we thought would work for our family, but did not. Within the 3 day window of return policy, I called to let him know, and we wanted to do an exchange and go with our 2nd choice. He was good about it, said he had to check the policy, no big deal because I had done that already. We went back to the store to take care of the exchange/cost difference. We had to wait on our 2nd choice, wasn't in stock. No big deal. What my complaint is, our 1st delivery men were absolutely wonderful. Respected our home, us as a customer. The 2nd delivery guys is another story. Horrible experience. They never covered their shoes ( I have white carpet) they drug mud all over it and left stains. Not happy about that. I will have to have my carpet cleaned. I'm not writing this review to get a free carpet cleaning, I'll take care of that myself, don't want to deal with the hassle, BUT please advise your delivery people to wear shoe covers in homes. Plus the 2nd delivery guys just threw our furniture around, literally. We kept the sofa covered tightly in our garage and took pictures and videos to show it was as new as it was when it was delivered, we only sat on it 3 days. We did this just because of how sloppy the 2nd delivery guys were. So Mgr. Of kenwood, if there is anything wrong with the return.. better talk to your delivery men.

I thought value city was bad big sandys is just as bad bought a living room suit and recliner in November called them 1 day later that something was wrong with them its been 5 months and still haven't been fixed or replaced keep putting us off. Now put us off till the end of April. Going to call 6 on your side Something I had to do on valve city was fixed within a week very disappointed O Williams

Not happy at all when we went to pick up our kitchen table and chairs it was all in a huge box. I was never told or givin the option to have it delivered or setup I don't even know if the do that. It took 2 hours to put the table and chairs together I couldn't check it for damages at pickup and it does have a knick on the table top. They need to communicate at the time of sell it may have been a factor whether or not If I would have bought it .

My husband and I had been looking into upgrading several items in our home (couches, bedroom set plus mattress) and decided to see what Big Sandy had to offer. We found bedroom and living room sets that we loved, and compromised on a new King sized mattress with power base. Paid for warranties on all of the electronic components (the couch we ordered had power reclining), accepted the mattress cover that the saleswoman Mary Ellen insisted we have- we aren't hard customers to work with. Our purchase was finalized on Oct 31st, and delivery of our couch and loveseat was made a week later on Nov 7th; our bedroom furniture was to be scheduled later once all of the pieces for it were in stock (supposedly by Nov 10th). Called the Dublin, OH store on the 10th to check the status and spoke with Mary Ellen. She said she would have to check on the items and would call me back on Monday the 13th. Monday came and went...finally became frustrated enough to call back a week after our initial call on Friday the 17th and spoke to our other salesperson, Nathan. I explained that we just wanted to know if all the pieces for our bedroom set were in and, if so, schedule delivery. He said no problem and we were scheduled for the following Saturday the 25th. Come delivery day, the deliverymen arrive promptly and get everything assembled in our bedroom; the furniture is beautiful, mattress is amazingly comfortable, no complaints there. We go to sign off on the delivery and the deliveryman mentions that our receipt shows that we bought a power base to go with our storage unit bed frame (it has drawer storage underneath). He tells us that not only does he not have the power base on his truck, but that his superiors just had a meeting about pairing storage beds with power bases and how they aren't always compatible; supposedly Big Sandy's employees were also a part of this meeting. We called the Dublin, OH store again and my husband spoke with Mary Ellen about our concerns: 1.) that we were not made aware that our bed frame may not be compatible with the power base, and 2.) that we were under the impression that the base was to be delivered with our remaining furniture. Her response was an off-the-cuff remark about how the delivery drivers are not salespeople and have no idea what they are talking about, and that she would look into the issue with our power base delivery and call us back the following Monday (Nov 27th). I am now writing this on Dec 12th, two full weeks after we were told we would be contacted. My husband and I agreed that we no longer cared to have the power base for our bed (it is comfortable as it is) and I called and had it removed from our order by a gentleman named Toby. We are hoping that he, if anyone, will actually follow up as he said he would and send email confirmation that the power base was cancelled and the charge removed from our credit card. Long story short: we love our new furniture and are happy with it, but the impression we have walked away with is that, once they have your money, the salespeople at Big Sandy don't care in the slightest about following up on any issues. Very disappointing as we like their products, but may need to look elsewhere for future purchases.

Prices are slightly higher than all the same stuff online, though it's nice to physically test furniture before hand and the floor displays and selection is good. My main problem is in store the sales people are too forward and relentless, and when I bought my couch I had the sale add with me that showed the matching recliner on sale with the couch purchase and my salesman argued no, although the manager agreed with me and I got it for the correct price the transaction just felt like buying a used car, sad. Also out of store the delivery guys just seemed overworked and under payed. They were nice but clearly just in a huge hurry with no attention to detail. Like I said overall the total experience was just acceptable with not really any other places to shop at.

i purchased a bedroom suite over a month ago and still haven't got my night stands...they told me everything was in the warehouse but one night stand when i first got the furniture, they came 3 days later with the bed only...2 days later they brought the bed slates....3 days after that they brought the dresser...and still no night stands...they told me it would be another month before i get them...not real happy
