Bad instructors and they keep your money if you don't complete your so called flexible lessons within a few months.

Contraté un servicio y la parte del seguimiento es pésima. Lo contraté para un adolescente. Y ese fue un tema claro. En teoría notifican si hay faltas recurrentes a mi correo pues es el que quedó registrado. Y 4 meses después me dicen que no hubo asistencias y que no podía cubrirse el nivel pero bien que me cobraron puntualmente las mensualidades. Si pudiera dar un 0 se los daría. Siempre que busco a mi asesor con el que contraté es un problema poder contactarlo. Siempre me deja en visto

German omline class, for which I paid $1800 and signed a contract for a start date 7 Feb 2023, got postponed by 4 weeks; notice was then given that today, 14 March, is the offical start date and that my course starts at 8pm. In the student portal, the instructor was changed last minute (three hours before course start), and now the assigned instructor has not shown up and we are 18 minutes into a 60-min session. Scam and waste of money! I am in the US (Virginia), not in Hungary, as listed. Also, NL is a racist.

It’s a scam they said will provide live classes then they act like the pre recorded is live I tried to cancel as when I signed I up they said cancel anytime well it’s been two months they keep charging my card be weary they used to be great in person but this is just a scam the Russian lady who answers phone starts telling me I can’t cancel and they have all my information crazy

Pésima escuela, bastante costosa y cambian semana a semana el docente haciendo que el alumno se atrase, pues se iba adaptando al profesor y a la semana ya hay otro profesor repitiendo el mismo tema

I regret to chose berlitz online. Support center is not efficient, they can’t solve your requests. Additionally; if your level is a.1-a.2 not enough to learn. You cant book online sessions before complete previous 2 lessons and online sessions. Online sessions just repeat self-learning lessons. So that Berlitz it is not efficient learning way to beginner level.

Dealing with Berlitz has been a nightmare. I signed up to Berlitz Connect on their website, paid about $100, clicked the enroll button and then... nothing. I didn't even get a confirmation email saying that someone would contact me the next day to complete the process the next day or ever. So there I was, out of 100 bucks, waiting for someone to tell me where my money went. So far, I was only puzzled as to why an online company wouldn't give their customers the peace of mind of letting them know what's going to happen next, but I thought it was just curious and not a big deal. But it gets worse. The next day a representative called and told me she would finish the enrollment and send me my login information, that I had to sing a contract, and that everything would get up and running within 1 hour. It took them all day. When I finally logged into their platform I was so disappointed, coming from apps like Babble and Duolingo, the Berlitz Connect platform is very outdated like something from the 1990's. But It worked fine, so I was ok with it. But I quickly realized that things weren't going to work when I found out their live classrooms are only available on weekdays when I am at work. No class on evenings or weekends. Now, their live classrooms was one of the reasons I signed up for Berlitz and once I realized they ran on a VERY limited schedule I decided it wasn't a good deal for the price I was paying so I decided to cancel. This is where things really go downhill. FIRST I asked them to cancel my account within the 30 day period. But Berlitz doesn't care wether or not their system works for you, they will want you to pay for some ridiculous activation fee that's either $200 for the 6 months program, or 350 for 12 months. Granted it's in the contract, but Berlitz never let me try the course before I enrolled, nor were they specific about their their nonsensical limited schedules. Fast forward a week, my account is still up, it hasn't been cancelled even though I have contacted my advisor many times and Berlitz is still trying to charge my account. They didn't even want to hear the reason why I canceled. To them if it's on the contract, then it's on the contract. But I don't care how long it takes me, or how far I have to go, I am not paying what they are asking me to pay simply because their product did not fit my schedule or my expectations. I am fighting this, no company should treat their customers like Berlitz does. Stay away from Berlitz and save yourself a huge headache.

Berlitz was absolutely one of the worst learning experiences I've ever had. It started with booking it. They hit you with that it's a perfect time to book a lesson as there are a lot of people that are looking for the experience to learn a new language. I eagerly booked. I then waited 8 weeks cause they couldn't find the necessary amount of people to start a class. During that 8 weeks they called me each week apologizing and trying to upcharge me private lessons. I refused cause I have a hard time learning things by myself I wanted multiple people that are also learning at my level. They then called me and said we have the right amount of people for the lesson. I was excited went into the lesson and they had one other person than me for the lesson. One. Whatever I was finally having lessons. It proceeded normally for about 4 weeks and then daylight savings happened and this is when a mediocre learning experience got even worse. They switch professors on you to whoever is available and Berlitz has professors that have different times zones and not all have daylight savings. No problem right as long as the lesson manager and programmers accounted for this there should be no issues. The problem is they didn't account for this. So the time for the lesson kept changing without any warning. Even if it came with warning it would still be an issue as a lot of people tend to build their schedule around things like this. The other student in my class gave up. She might have asked for a refund and honestly I should have too. I then struggled to learn by myself the material I wanted to learn with others while Berlitz still continues to mess with my schedule and my patience. Update: Berlitz has asked me to provide information so they can reach out for feedback. As of yet they haven't gotten back so don't take their reply as a genuine attempt to improve and take it as an auto reply to save face.
