I would definitely recommend this group of staff and doctors. The pre and post surgery information and support was great. The whole hospital experience was phenomenal and the staff made me feel welcome and safe. My only suggestion is to bring a friend or family member with you to Mexico for company and support.

Everyone that I have dealt with at BeLiteWeight went out of their way to make sure I felt comfortable and secure with the procedure. They always answered every question, regularly followed up with me and made sure I was more than prepared for the surgery. I would recommend them to anyone.

I researched Weight Loss Surgery for a year and after my health insurance denied me 3 times, I went on the Web to find out what other options I had. From the minute I talked to JoAnne, I knew I had found what I was looking for. She answered every question I had, and boy did I ask her everything. This is where The Leap of Faith came in to play. I scheduled my procedure for July 5th 2016. My very supportive husband and I flew to El Paso, Texas and was met by a transport driver who took us across the border into Juarez. We arrived at the hospital Star Medica. The driver never left our side till I was registered for admission. Even though there was a language barrier, I had an interpreter helping me. Admission to my room was smooth. The hospital was very clean and my care was very attentive. Everyone from nurses to housekeeping were friendly. Very few personnel spoke English, but they carried mobile translator devices with them. My favorite part was Dr Rodriguez and Dr Elmo and their medical staff, they spoke great English and had a sense of humor which helped me get through the surgery and recovery. I only had incisional pain. These guys are the best, so don't delay doing surgery any longer. I am 5 1/2 months out and have lost 65 pounds. I have no regrets except waiting too long to have surgery. I had revision surgery with BeLiteWeight in 2012 to convert my Lapband to a gastric sleeve. I developed reflux and was told by a local surgeon that the only solution was to have additional surgery and covert to a bypass. I contacted BeLiteWeight to get a second opinion from Dr. Rodriguez and he concurred with the local surgeon. BeLiteWeight offered to schedule my revision with Dr. Rodriguez but I opted to have the surgery with the local doctor near my home rather than travel. The reflux came back worse than before. The local surgeon, at first, told me that I could not possibly have reflux and that is was likely all psychological. But when further testing showed it was back, they were of no help. I reached out to BeLiteWeight for help in figuring out what the problem might be and whether or not there was a solution. Working through BeLiteWeight and my local physicians, I had some additional testing, had an in person consultation with Dr. Rodriguez, and finally had a plan to fix my issues. It happened very quickly (solution was presented just before Thanksgiving and corrective surgery was performed December 15th). I was a special case. Most people will never experience the things I did. But I am so very glad I knew and had worked with Dr. Rodriguez and BeLiteWeight in the past and was able to turn to them when my experiences needed to be reviewed and corrected. I trust Dr. Rodriguez and BeLiteWeight 100% with my body and with my life!!! Thank you so much for your patience and diligence in diagnosing and correcting my problems!!! I am so happy to be on the track to better health!!!

Everything was great!!!!

Doing the sleeve procedure has changed and improved my quality of life. 1) I'm much slimmer, My waist is eight inches less and my body is overall trimmer. I get compliments on how good I look. 2) I'm healthier. I am now diabetes free and my blood pressure, cholesterol levels have normalized. 3) I'm physically fit. I really enjoy working out. I swim laps, ride my bike, lift a few weights, and i make every effort to find ways to be more active such as taking the stairs and I don't mind parking further from the stores. This is an answered prayer. I thank the good Lord above and BeLiteWeight.

Working with Joanne was amazing. She made sure I had all my paper work in order and helped me every step along the way. She stayed in contact with me after my surgery making sure everything was going good. The staff that works with BeLiteWeight are amazing and friendly. The Hospital in Juarez Mexico is very clean and safe. The staff is friendly and helpful.
