Life Changing
A former colleague had done the research and had the surgery and got amazing results. I decided to do it as well. The whole process was pretty quick and clear from the time I started inquiring, I was on the table in about 6 weeks. Jamie was great to deal with and had answers to questions when I needed them. The hospital was very clean and as comfortable as it could be. the language barrier was a little difficult as I don't speak Spanish, but fortunately due to a translation app, we got by. The staff at StarMedica were for the most part pretty good. Everything was explained to me by the doctors and they followed up regularly. The only negative was that I was sent home a day early which caused problems as I then had to find a hotel and take on the expense after it was confirmed I would be in the hospital for 3 day. Learning to eat wasn't easy and a year later I still have to watch how much and how fast I am eating and it depends on the type of food as well. I lost 30 pounds in the first month and a year later I have lost 76 pounds and gone from a 44 wait to a 34. I am at the gym regularly in an effort to sculpt my body and stay this size. Expect to replace your entire wardrobe, right down to your underwear as nothing will fit after a month. This was a no brainer for me and the cost was far worth it. Even though I am from Canada and could have gotten the surgery for FREE, it would have taken over 4 years to have it done. I heard a good analogy the other day... If you are willing to have monthly payments for a car, why would you not take the opportunity to spend that money on your health, which is far more important. BeLiteWeight has followed up with me numerous times in the last year to see how I have been doing along with providing tips through their newsletters. Overall great experience and recommend it to anyone that has struggled with every possible diet or fad. They don't work, period.

Brian, thank you for the review and the friends you have sent our way. I'm sorry for the mix up at the time you went for your surgery. That analogy you heard is awesome, thanks for sharing because I think it's totally accurate. Take care! :-)
