Better than I could have ever imagined. Seriously, I was terrified at the thought of going outside of the country to seek medical attention. I had a lapband in 2009, and I started having complications with it in 2012. I dealt with not being able to even swallow water at times for six years! Finally, I couldn't take it any longer and started investigating my options since my insurance would not pay for the surgery. I found Beliteweight through a google search and I am so thankful that I did. The experience from start to finish was simple. JoAnne did everything to make it simple. She had a driver at the airport waiting for us, we arrived late and he took us directly to the hospital. He got out and walked us into the registration area and made sure we were taken care of before he left. Then the registration staff, who all spoke very good English, printed the paperwork, I signed and initialed a few lines and it was off to the room for blood work. Once the blood work was done, they brought a tray of food for myself and my companion, we ate and went to bed. The next morning, they came in took me down for surgery and the next thing I knew I was waking up. The Doctors were phenomenal. They came in to check on me several times that day to make sure I was doing alright. I was a little sick from the anesthesia, but they controlled it very well. I was up walking 10,000 steps the next day! I felt great, I could swallow and my pain was minimal. The Doctors and the nurses are far superior to any that I have had in the US when it comes to patient care. The hospital was extremely quiet and they did not bug me every five minutes. It's been a week and I am down 15 pounds so far. I will admit the post-op diet sucks, but it is important to follow it so as not to hurt yourself. I've gotten creative and made protein shake popsicles, and jello. Protein2O is really good, and the cookies and cream Premier Protein shakes are great too, it's hard to find ones that I like. If you are thinking about weight loss surgery, BeLiteWeight is the place to go through, you will not be sorry. They will take very good care of you. JoAnne is a sweetheart and has so much knowledge. i want some one to read this, because god knows before i had this surgery, for three months straight i read these reviews and could not find one bad thing about this company. i just knew that this could not be true, so much that when i left my home to fly to Mexico i left a letter just in case i didn't make it home. ( i know dramatic ). i chose to go alone, i am on the lower end of the BMI scale, so of course my family and friends do not see anything wrong with me, but deep inside i was not happy. my weight fluctuates and my joints were suffering for that reason. My rep was jessica, when i first spoke with her she was very sweet, warming, welcoming, and understanding of all my questions. i just want to inform you that after you pay your deposit and schedule, unless you have any questions they will not call you so feel free to call them with any questions or concerns, and also check in with them a week prior to surgery. so lets get to what you really want to hear. i had my surgery at hospital angeles, and it is true what they say about the marble floors and it is very clean. i am going to tell you now that the water does not get hot, please bring your own face and dry off towels as well. the main staff that you will deal with also does not speak very good English, but their efforts did not go unnoticed. i even had one nurse that came in with his cell phone on google translate. i arrived the morning of my surgery, as soon i arrived i was brought to my room, blood was taken, x ray, ekg, and i was given an IV ( i kept telling her i did not want it in my hand, she tried three times before she listened to me and put it in my arm instead). Dr. Rod and Elmo came in and introduced themselves and let me know that i would be the 2nd or 3rd surgery of the day and that it would happen around noon. At this time they give you the opportunity to ask any questions. i was given a gown to change into, ( bring a blanket) sheets are very thin and the hospital is very cold. So i had my surgery around noon, i remember being taken to a creepy hallway, the nurse telling me that soon i would feel dizzy, and then i woke up in a recovery room. After surgery i literally felt NO PAIN. listen, they managed my pain so well i didnt even have to ask for pain meds! The day after surgery i asked them to take the IV out because i had been given pain meds around the clock and i felt i didnt need it. they will encourage you to walk and shower and after your first shower they will change your sheets. i didnt walk until about 1am sunday morning, so about 12 hours after my surgery. GAS PAINS ARE REAL, i felt like some one was strangling me by the esophagus and lungs at the same time, but walking helps. My discharge and flight home was very easy, no complications. it is now thursday, so 5 days post op and i feel amazing, full of energy, you wouldnt even think 5 days ago i had surgery. a little gas pain here and there but nothing major, i return back to work on monday. i am sorry if my story is a little out of order, but i wanted to make sure that it was as honest and truthful as possible in the order that it came to mind. if i had to, i would go through belite weight a million times over. they may not be the cheapest option, but you truly get what you pay for! i hope that this eases the mind of whomever may read this, because these reviews helped me with my decision! be a better you, be lite!

Simply put, I can't say enough good things about BeLiteWeight and the staff at Hospital Angeles in Juarez. Skye, my coordinator, was extremely responsive to all of my questions and promptly provided answers or additional information that I requested. If Skye wasn't available, I quickly received a response from another member of the Staff who was equally as professional and informative. I was extremely nervous to go to Mexico for my surgery, but I was committed to getting VSG surgery and this was the most cost effective manner in which to do so. I did look into other 'medical tourism' companies (that happened to be less expensive); however, after researching Dr. Rod and Hospital Angeles, I decided to continue on with BeLiteWeight. I had multiple flight delays getting into El Paso, but the driver was willing to pick me up late in the day. We arrived at the hospital at 23:45 and had to enter through Emergency. He stayed with me through the admissions process, and didn't leave until I was on my way up to my room. My room was amazing, clean and spacious. I feel that I was very well taken care of from the pre-op through post-op process. There was never a delay if I needed help from a nurse, and multiple members of Dr. Rod's team were available for questions. If you are considering bariatric surgery w/ BeLiteWeight and Dr. Rod, do not hesitate - go for it! You won't be disappointed.

I’ve been wanting the gastric sleeve for many years but I didn’t want to jump through the hoops for a year in the hope I would get approved. My Aunt had went through Belight and had awesome experience. So my husband and I decided I would go for it. Jessica helped me set everything up she is very nice and knowledgeable about the whole experience. I was super nervous about going to Mexico but after I got there I was fine everyone is super nice and welcoming. I would do it again if I had to.

I have no complaints what so ever. Belite answered all my questions. I had the sleeve in Mexico on 4/27/18 my weight 235 I am now 191 August 1st. Belite calls you and checks up on you, and that has helped me so much. I highly recommend their services.

I had my gastric sleeve surgery on July 28......I am 9 days post surgery now. I feel fantastic! So far I have lost 15lbs. Dr Rodriguez and his staff are wonderful! My incisions were so well done that I believe you wont even know they were there by this time next year. The hospital in Juarez was top notch and VERY comfortable. I am so happy I did this. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff and my patient facilitator Jessica! I can hardly believe how good I already feel. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!

My experience with this group has been amazing. From beginning to end. Everything went smoothly, if I had questions, they were prompt to answer. The surgeon was amazing! I highly recommend! This was the best decision ever! My weight loss journey has changed my life. I had a friend who went with me that is a skeptical and was so impressed by the care and the whole process that she scheduled her surgery 2 months later! Thank you!
