I had the gastric sleeve at the Star Medica hospital in Juarez, Mexico. Dr. Jose Rodriguez did a fantastic job and I swear I've never been better taken care of in any hospital in the states. It was a really great experience. The company I went through (BeLiteWeight) is definitely not the cheapest but everything went smoothly. We even had an English speaking assistant for our entire stay (2 days). The charge for the sleeve is $6,800, plus $50 cash for take home meds. The deposit was $500, subtracted from the $6800 total. The only hiccup is when I called BeLiteWeight with my arrival time at the airport, they did not relay it to the shuttle company so we were not on their list. Thankfully, we ran into the shuttle driver looking for another person, so he took us to the hospital with that other person. The doctor spoke perfect English, as well as many others on his team. He explained what I could expect so I would not freak out. Some nurses spoke some English, and if worst came to worst, they used Google translate to communicate. The hospital location was right across the Texas border from El Paso. I live in Texas, so we were able to drive (a long drive, but cheaper than a flight). Most weight loss services in Mexico are in Tijuana and you have to get to the San Diego airport.

I was scared and nervous at first !!! The staff starting with the ride that picked us up at airport to surgeons, nurses , butlers and everyone along the process was professional, friendly , and absolutely made me feel at home !! The room was awesome. I will recommend you to everyone I know . I have never had a more comfortable, uncomfortable stay . Everyone was so skilled and attentive. You guys rock!!!!!! I was going to get my grand kids for some nanny time 3 days after my surgery! Thank You so much for helping me get back on the path to being healthy !!!!!

I was really nervous going to Mexico for a procedure. I went after they assured me that I would be taken care of and that there were numerous people that spoke English. Well not so much the case. I couldn't communicate with the staff very well. I finally realized how it feels to be here in the US and not being able to communicate. The Doctors were great. They greeted me when I arrived. I was grateful for this. The nursing care was also acceptable. I am so happy with the results I have with my weight loss surgery. If I had to do it all over again I would.

My experience was very positive. Everyone was eager to accomodate my sister and I from start to finish. The facility was neat and clean. More non-English speaking staff work at night, which made over night communication difficult. Otherwise, everything went well, professional, and in great order. I appreciate the service quality.

I can't go public with this because my family know nothing about me having this procedure . They would have a cow . No exceptions . So I won't be doing a public video . Everyone was so kind . Hospital very clean . Drs very nice . I have not had any problems . the drs in the states told me I wasn't fat enough to consider surgery . I started out 180 . Two weeks out I'm at 165 . The only thing that was bad was gas pains after the procedure . Was hard for me to walk right after surgery because I was dizzy . I'm 54 . So maybe because I'm older it was kinda hard . I have no regrets so far . I already feel better with what little Weight I have already lost . I hope to feel even better a Year down the road .
