BeLiteWeight was so professional and thorough. The experience was so safe and was great. Their taxi met us at the Airport in the US and took us over the border. It was very secure and I felt very safe. The hospital was great- felt like a US hospital. I was alittle nervous but their was nothing to be nervous about- it was so safe! In fact my husband and mom went down for surgery 6 mo after me.

Being denied by my insurance plan and leaning the cost of the surgery in Indiana was very disappointing. Calling Be Lite was the best decision I have ever made for my health. I am very happy with everyone at Be Lite. Having surgery in Juarez Mexico was a big concern but now I know , never a regret. I can say that everything went perfect. Everything I was told from start to finish went exactly as told. My surgery, recovery, and stay in Juarez Mexico was great. On a pain scale from 1 to 10 was never greater than a 2. I am very glad that I made this life changing decision. I would recommend Be Lite to anyone.

THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE WAS JUST AWESOME SINCE THE MINUTE WE LANDED IN EL PASO TX, DRIVER PICKED US UP AND DROVE THROUGH THE BORDER TO THE HOSPITAL.WE ARRIVED IN VERY VERY NICE HOSPITAL WITH VERY PROFESSIONAL STUFF , GIRL( ASSISTANT WITH PAPER WORK ) SPOKE ENGLISH AND HAD NO PROBLEM WITH COMMUNICATION WHAT SO EVER. OMG ABOUT THE DOCTORS AND STUFF - I NEVER HAD SO MUCH ATTENTION IN A HOSPITAL IN USA . EVERYBODY- I MEAN LITERALLY EVERYBODY - SO NICE AND PROFESSIONAL, I LOVED IT. SHORT STORY ABOUT THE SURGERY - IT DIDNT HURT EVEN A BIT, I WANST IN PAIN SINCE 1 MIN I GOT OUT FROM SURGERY ROOM, I ASKED TO TAKE MY iv OUT ABOUT 20 HOURS AFTER SURGERY , WHEN I WOKE UP AFTER SURGERY I KEPT BUGGING EVERYBODY WHEN IS MY SURGERY AND GUESS WHAT - I WAS ALREADY DONE !!!!! MY RESULTS AND REACTION IS NOT TYPICAL, IM 5"8 AND WAS 200LB, ITS BEEN 6 WEEKS IM DOWN 34LB. I LOVED EVERY SINGLE MINUTE I WAS IN A HOSPITAL AND MEXICO. For rather less than half what it'd cost in Texas, even including air fare for two to El Paso, surgery in Juarez was a dream. BeLiteWeight prepared me very well for the surgery. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, reassuring, and anxious to answer questions. They have been quick to respond to me, sometimes even anticipating my questions and needs. Their documentation prepared me well for the pre-operative diet, the surgery itself, and my post-operative experience. As to the trip & surgery itself: A driver met us at the airport in El Paso and took us to the hospital. Admissions were simple. After a blood test, a chest x-ray, and an EKG we went for a nice meal at a nearby restaurant. The next day I went into surgery around 10:30 and my companion went shopping at the mall across the street. We met back in our room some 3+ hours later. I was a bit fuzzy that afternoon and evening. The following day was easy with nothing to do but walk around the hospital and recover. Our ride back across the border to the airport was uneventful and pain-free. Every day during my stay I was visited by my primary doctors at least once. I also had visits from the anesthesiologist, a gastroenterologist, a nutritionist, and I forget who else. I have never had that much face time with doctors during a hospital stay before. Every step was clearly explained in advance and every effort was made to keep us comfortable. All of the doctors were fluent in English. The hospital was clean & orderly. The staff was pleasant & professional. Communication was not a problem. The ground floor cantina was reportedly a little limited in its offerings but there were walkable alternatives nearby. In short, I will happily recommend BeLiteWeight and the Juarez Star Medica hospital/surgical team to anyone considering weight loss surgery.

I went in with little expectation; I just rode the experience train with eyes open. Upon arrival, my anxiety level was high from travel fatigue and nerves about the surgery in general. The time I was picked up from the airport to the time we entered the hospital was positive. The staff was over the top friendly and did their best to bridge any communication gaps. The facility is beautiful and was more than I expected to be honest. The facility runs like a well oiled machine and since I came in with a critical eye, having worked in the medical field for 13 years prior to my transition to transportation, they didn’t miss a thing. My only suggestion to anyone planning to have this done is to BRING A BUDDY! Not because you need them for anything, it is just easier for the patient to have a companion. Maybe a crash course in Spanish. hahahaha My surgery was painless, even with the Lap Band revision. The only real discomfort came after arriving home and that was where the removal of the port that was attached to the Lap Band. Thank you for your help guiding me through the process. “I am so glad I did this” 

I was right at 200lbs, with a BMI of 34. My insurance wouldn't touch it, since I was just "obese", not "morbidly obese". The cost to self pay in the states was quoted to me starting at $13K upwards to $26K. I researched how I could save money on this, and BeLite was rated high with good reviews. I called and spoke with Jamie, and she spent 30 minutes just getting to know me and walking me thru all my questions. My husband was concerned about crossing the border, but we researched the hospital and the doctors and felt comfortable with giving it a go, based on the doctor's reviews. Everything went just as we were told, from the shuttle at the airport to checking in at the hospital, to the actual procedure. We were set up in a three room, two bathroom suite (seriously!), with a sleeper sofa for my husband. The staff was amazing, they even helped my husband order pizza from the Spanish-speaking Papa Johns! The surgery was effortless, I woke up in no pain and was walking around a few hours later. The team of doctors gave me lots of instructions and sent me home with the medicines I'd need for up to two months. They even explained how I needed to walk on my plane ride home to ensure no blood clots, and gave me stockings to wear as an added precaution. I'm now starting week four post-op and feel great, absolutely no issues so far! I received a sweet care package from BeLite a week after I got home. I cannot thank BeLite and Dr. Rodriguez enough for starting me on this life-changing journey!
