The two instructors are knowledgable about the information except on is significantly better than the other. Peter takes the time to explain what is actually going on and why a topic or distinction is important. This helps convey a greater understanding of the topic and helps with application during the exam. Tim on the other hand rarely give any explanation at all on complex issues. He would often times read the question, then go on to state, "The answer is letter C. 3,000. Clearly this is the answer because 3,000 is the answer". I'm not paying for someone to simply read me the words on the page. I'm paying for their professional insight and help. It seems as though he doesn't understand enough of the information to properly present on many of the mathematically complex or technical information. Ultimately I passed FAR, which was the goal so I am thankful for the quality review program.

There needs to be more material and study questions relating to Information Technology in BEC.

I think the Becker study materials were comprehensive and provided several ways to learn the concepts. My one wish is that some of the simulations were presented in a different order, as some covered topics not discussed until a later module

I think that it is a very good product. Helped me pass all 4 exams on the first try. I felt like I was prepared and ready for the exams when I took them. The content covered in the lectures seemed to cover everything on the exams. I was not shocked or overwhelmed when taking the real exam. The mock exams were very helpful as they looked the exact same as the real exam which was nice. The only complaint I have with Becker is some of the instructors. Tim G and Mike Brown are not very good in my opinion. Peter Olinto is great and I wish he could do the course by himself as he did a fantastic job of explaining things and covering the subjects. Tim G and Mike Brown were bad and I will just leave it at that.

Overall a great program! I've passed both FAR (82) and AUD (86) on my first attempts.

Becker was a big help in passing the CPA test, and I couldn't have done it without this program!

Peter “Sugar Bear” Olinto can go pound sand, but the other lecturers are helpful. The practice exams do a good job of simulating actual exam conditions. For your first section, do 2-3 full-length practice exams. I found that doing full-length exams for the other sections was more trouble than it was worth; luckily, the program lets you do chunks of multiple choice and simulations without needing to block off four hours just for the test. Very rarely, I came across questions where the official “right” answer was wrong according to GAAP or the lecture. There isn’t much you can do about that, but if you’re spotting those during study time you’re probably in a good situation. I passed all of my sections on the first try, so I’m giving Becker a high rating. The main reason I’m limiting it to four stars out of five is Peter Olinto.

I was able to pass all the exams in one month using the Becker software for studying. There were a few glitches in the software along the way, and the amount of material for each test seemed to vary greatly along with the classes. Some classes were 10 minutes, where others could be 1.5 hours. I would recommend trying to equalize out the modules a little bit so that there is a similar amount of time needed to get through each one for studying planning purposes.
