The Becker course has been great. The only issue I've had is the delay in getting the materials shipped.

So far so good. Passed FAR using Becker only. Some lecturers are better than others. Every now and then I'll see an MCQ that was not covered in the lectures. On another note, I had a pretty poor experience with a Becker rep when I was selected as campus ambassador for my college. They were not helpful, but I ended up paying for the program anyway because I believed it to be better than the others available and I still do. I can't blame her individual actions on the company as a whole.

Although there were times where I got confused, overall Becker was a great program for me. I believe it prepared me for the exam and I would not have passed without it.

On the whole Becker was a solid service. I only used Becker to study for the exam and I passed all four sections on the first try. However, I feel for BEC there should be more time devoted to IT and ERP/COSO material. FAR, AUD, and REG I found were all well balanced and thorough. Also would benefit from having skills practices returned to the modules.

Overall I found this review course sufficient enough to pass the exam without the use of external supplements. I found the lectures to be helpful for my particular learning style and MCQs to help reinforce material covered per module. I do wish the MCQs within the lectures were further explained in certain situations but most of the times the written explanations helped me understand the question and answer choices. Sims are not very comparable in most cases to actual exam sims but they do aid in reinforcing concepts.

Great program so far, just wish some instructors did more than tell you to underline things.

Overall, I think Becker worked out really well when studying for the CPA exam. I had more than enough resources to be prepared on exam day. With that being said, I had a few complaints. Some of the lectures were very long (over 1 hour). I understand that there is a lot of content that needs covered, but sometimes the lectures discussed topics that were way too complex and I never saw on exam day. I get that you want to cover all your bases, its just difficult to focus when a lecture breaks the 1 hour mark. The other suggestion I have it to get rid of the skills practice. I used skills practice a lot when studying for my first exam, but quickly learned they provided no benefit and just took too much time. Otherwise, I had a very good experience with Becker. It was definitely worth the money in the end.

Becker does an incredible job at over-preparing you for your exams. My only complaint is that the practice tests are much harder than the real tests. I recently took the REG exam and scored 63, 53, and 57 on the practice exams. So going into my real exam I was super stressed about not passing. I ended up scoring a 92! I’m very happy with my results obviously, but due to the lack of confidence I had after taking the practice tests I almost paid the fee to reschedule my exam because I didn’t think I was ready.
