Think about this as well, there are accountants, with a degree in Accounting, with a CPA, but yet, these accountants are the ones, in firms, conducting and leading cybersecurity assessments, do you think they have a background in cybersecurity? Most likely not, but they applied themselves, understood and learned multiple frameworks and executed their career pivot. Because you didn't follow the process, that even has it laid out for recruiters to reach out to you, people need to take ownership and accountability for their actions. You read a contract and just signed it. When you go to a dealership to buy a car and sign the sales contract, you go home, after a week if you didn't like the car, do you go to the dealership to return the car and blame the salesperson for scamming you? Didn't you go voluntarily to buy the vehicle? Same here. My experience was great, legit and has continued to open paths in the PCI field! How often do you get to reject 6 figure job offers, because they don't fit your lifestyle?
