I am 3 weeks into Baselang. Overall it’s been a really good experience. The positives are the access to a teacher for 1:1 instruction at any time during the day, and a structured lesson progression, which I like. Some teachers are great. The negatives: Some teachers are not good. I felt a bit lost initially and the teachers are only responsible for getting you through a specific 30 minute class. “You can do whatever you like.” is a common response when I inquired about any course recommendations. The “orientation zoom” was very basic. In my opinion, Baselang would be an excellent site if someone was able to offer minimal guidance & critique your plan of action, in essence have a stake in the successful outcome of you speaking Spanish.

The material is very good. You can progress as fast as you can and results depend on the level of effort one puts in. There are several good teachers but you do have to shop around to find one that connects with your learning style.

I have loved the connections with the teachers! I have really enjoyed finding several that are just as excited and dedicated to me learning Spanish as I am! I have at times had teachers that I wouldn't recommend or take again. Some were just not the right fit for me and a few were just not professional or paying attention. This is very rare and the overall experience has been excellent!

Good teachers, great selection of times and teachers available. It did end up a bit pricey for me, but overall a good experience.

The availability of tutors and the fact that they know where the previous tutor left off is beneficial. The curriculum could probably be updated to be more helpful for beginners.

I really like the availability and options of many teachers along with the guided lesson plans that help you follow along through the levels as you advance. I feel there could be some improvement with some of the lessons as they can get a bit repetitive, or some of the slides do not show the correct answers following the completion of the question/lesson. There also could be some additional resources for teachers or worksheets they can use when teaching live classes based on the lessons provided.

Baselang is awesome there are very good teachers here yes I would like all of them to be great teachers but thats not the case or I would leave a 5-star review. Overhaul is the best there is no comparison to BaseLang I have tried them all I believe after years of wanting to understand and speak a little Spanish I am sure my dream will be a reality.
