I think this site has great potential but it takes a while to figure out how to best use it. I'm still working on it.

I’ve had an excellent overall experience with BaseLang. The one-on-one, on-demand format is extremely valuable, and I find this far more effective than the years I spent studying other languages in high school and college. The personalized approach makes learning less intimidating, and the consistency of working with individual teachers helps build real relationships that make the process even more engaging. One recommendation would be for teacher profiles to clearly highlight whether they prefer working with beginners, structured lessons, or more conversational practice. While many already do this, I’ve occasionally matched with teachers who seemed more inclined toward conversation, which can make beginner lessons feel less natural. Another area for improvement is around scheduling. If teachers need to cancel a class or plan to be unavailable for a period of time, proactively canceling those sessions in advance would be really helpful. Overall, though, BaseLang has been a fantastic and superior experience for language learning, and I would strongly recommend it.

Very good model for learning. As the intro video stated you may not like every teacher, so find one that you get along with. I have found a few good ones so far. A handful of teachers kind of rush you and don't walk you through the reasoning. Theres been a couple of times I wanted a last minute lesson with none available but that didn't discourage me. I normally try to book a few days ahead to lock in my teacher. Overall it is a good value if you have time to use it.

Good customer service. Good availability of teachers. There is a wide variability of the teaching quality and one does have to search for the right match in teachers but BL has good quality resources.

Great service to learn and practice speaking Spanish every day, which is key to building up a good vocabulary and fluency in the language, even with only the 30-minute-a-day plan. Try out a lot of teachers at the beginning until you find a bunch that you like, as there are a wide variety from all different countries in Latin America. Some you will jam with, others not. But once you've found your teachers, the sky's the limit, and the price can't be beat for daily Spanish practice. Just make sure to plan out and book those lessons, as the more you take, the more you will get out of this service. The staff are also top notch. Any time I've had a question of any kind, they respond quickly and professionally in the instant chat. Very happy with them and their support. The only reason this isn't five stars is because although there are many good, engaged and encouraging teachers on the platform, I've also come across some that clearly don't care much, so the conversation was a little dull and awkward during lessons with them. But like I said, there are great teachers on the platform as well, and now that I have my list of teachers I like, I'm quite happy!

So far I really like the curriculum and the teachers. The concept is great - being able to book lessons at any time, with any available teacher. Customer support is top notch. I've had some issues with my credit card (problem on my end, not yours) and your staff was quick to respond to my messages in a courteous manner. The app itself can be a little slow or buggy at times. Nothing extremely bad but enough that I've given 4 stars instead of 5. I'm guessing they are issues with state management. I sometimes have to reload the app multiple times for the data to update properly. The teachers and calendar views behave in weird unexpected ways at times, especially when trying to filter by different criteria. Only having 3 favorite teachers has proven a little limitative for me as some weeks my 3 favorite teachers are not enough to fill my desired timeslots. Bumping that up to 5 would probably do the trick for me.

Well organised and welcoming classes. Great choice of teachers. Good additional material if wanted.
