This was for a Mossberg 500
This was for a Mossberg 500. The retaining ring in the barrel would not come out w/o cutting it so it is still original. Contacted Customer Support & got 1 suggestion, when that didn't work tried contacting again & got no response. The unit now resides in the junk drawer.

William, thank you for letting us know of the issues you've had. We appreciate you taking the time so that we can identify areas of possible improvement. It may be too late, but once loosened, the barrel has to be removed then the clip taken off by rotating the cap and holding the clip in place with a small screw driver or similar tool.
