I couldn't connect with the lawyer. He called once, and I couldn't pick up the phone because I was in a meeting. I called the number back several times during the day but was disconnected. I received no other call from the attorney.

Avvo has changed the way it allows classification of questions and it has ruined the website. It's impossible to use, it's impossible to reach the correct type attorney. I used it and recommended it for 6 years but now I suggest to people to stay away from it because it's no longer useful, it's a waste of time. Even the attorneys weren't told of the change in classifications and so they as well have been stymied over how a divorce question can end up in collections, etc.

The lawyer that cost me $29 for all of 5 minutes of phone call sucked. He sounded drunk, slurring... His answer to my question was vague and somewhat rude.

I have many years of experience and expertise in my area of law, ie social security disability. I notice that those who have sponsored listings that are paid have a higher rating. I know an excellent attorney, who does disability cases, whose rating is similar to mine. Whether they acknowledge it or not, I believe it has to do with whether the attorneys have paid for advertising. Whenever I ask about my profile, I get a call from Avvo asking me to advertise.

all sites listed on AVVO are paid. If you write a negative review they will delete it to make their paying customer look good. THEY ARE A SCAM
