The app is terrible
The app is terrible. It’s difficult to track appropriately. The predictions aren’t actually predictions because they often change to past dates which is less than helpful.

My watch loop is broken. I have to keep it together with a hair band. I am frustrated because I have been wearing it for every cycle since March and I am still not pregnant, and it is October. The day I get a positive ovulation test with my at home digital test strips and the day Ava says I ovulate are never the same.

I wouldn't waste your money on the guarantee, or the watch in general. It really was only helpful with monitoring temps, but the articles are poorly timed, the data is confusing and its frustrating for someone that is having fertility issues - it rubs salt in the wound. You can monitor temps through a much cheaper option. Multiple people use this and other free apps, as other apps seem to line up better than this. I purchased the year guarantee and wish I wouldn't have spent the money, but like many I was just hoping to get help and willing to try anything. The group that is associated with here is full of snobby people, the moderators dont explain much and things just get deleted, questions ignored and if things are posted in the right place you are put in the corner and corrected, post deleted and left without support.

Herzlichst, Dein Ava Team

I purchased Ava and the 6 month guarantee. ($350) I learned the conditions of getting the guarantee (wearing the Ava 90% of the time) and thought that was pretty tight already, but started using it. Less than a month into using Ava, I learned I had already been pregnant before purchasing Ava and opening the box. I contacted Ava. They cannot take back the watches period (even for returns), but will not offer me a refund because I’m pregnant and opened the box. Can you imagine? What sort of business is this that it will charge you even if you were already pregnant? It’s thievery. The worst part is I would’ve suggested this to all of our friends who are trying to get pregnant. Now I say stay 100% away.

I would like to think that Ava is great but I’ve noticed that it consistently misses my day of ovulation. I’ve been TTC for 4 years now (been through myomectomy, and multiple rounds of IVF in between) that I pretty much can tell the day that I’m ovulating (very slight cramps), but I wear Ava because I cannot predict the days right before ovulation occurs. The watch is consistently detecting my ovulation to be off by 2-3 days which of course means my period comes earlier than expected. So what I initially may think is implantation bleeding because it’s way too early to see any sign of my period is indeed the spotting that usually happens a few days before my flow starts. My journey TTC has been difficult enough and hoped that the science of this would help somewhat with timing intercourse but it has proven to be a waste of money. Not at all blaming it for me not being pregnant because we’ve had many other obstacles along the way and we have finally gotten the go to go ahead and try again naturally. But what is the point of wearing this if it cannot even predict my ovulation day? Being consistently off certainly does not help in the quest.

The app is very slow and crashed. "Updating predictions" takes several minutes and then will not actually have any predictions. I bought this bracelet hoping to get more insight into what my statistics mean and I have been sadly disappointed. I am an engineer, with no medical background, and was looking for a product that could interpret the information for me. If I could return the product I would.
