Waste of money, poor quality, crappy app, not a fit for women with PCOS or irregular periods or on medicated cycles
The app is not that great. It is missing many features that are helpful that other ttc apps offer. My biggest complaint, no algorithm has been created for women that are on medicated cycles. There is not even a way to document the medications. I got pregnant on our first try and it was because of the meds. Ava had no idea what my cycles were and it is not good for people with PCOS or irregular cycles. I really wish I had not purchased it. I feel stupid for wasting the money. I would not recommend this to anyone. It freaked me out more than anything. I have know I was pregnant for about 4 days now. My temps have been dropping as my bfp got darker. I am guessing this is from the medication. Either way, I stopped wearing it because my situation is totally different and it was not a good fit for me. NOT TO MENTION part of the band broke the first week of wearing it. $300 watch....
Response from Ava BraceletMar 12, 2020
Dear Shannon first of all we'd like to thank you for your very honest feedback - it's truly appreciated. We are sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the Ava bracelet and would like to hear more about your experience in order to be able to solve problems and provide you with a much better experience. Thus we kindly ask you to send us your feedback via e-mail to [email protected]. Please do know, that Ava's built-in fertility detection feature is in fact accurate only for cycles between 24 – 35 days. Currently, Ava is not designed for and has not been tested for women: - Whose cycles are not in the 24- 35 days range; - Whom have been diagnosed with PCOS; - Whom are recently postpartum; - Whom are breastfeeding; - Or whom are seeking to use it as a method of contraception. Further, the bracelet needs to be worn every night for at least 4 hours during sleep. Warm regards, the Ava team.
