This company is a SCAM, they scammed me out of $500.00 and the case is now at “The New York State Attorney’s Letitia James Office”. I work at a law firm, the SCAMMERS made a mistake with me! Have an Attorney, NY State Attorney’s Office and Chase Bank working to prosecute them. BEWARE! They scam you by putting your money into another account NOT in an “Authors Book Publishing” account! The account is Digital Point LLC associated with SCAMS!

Be Awere! This Company is Scam! Fraud! Updated, Originally we signed contract with Jay Brown who was one of senior manager of Authors Book Publishing company. ( now we were told that Jay Brown is not working in this company anymore). On 10/22/24, we agreed to pay ABP the sum of $38,840.00 to print and distribute 3,000 softcover and 2,000 hard cover of Virtue to 600 Barnes and Noble bookstores (B&N) in major cities around the United States. We were pressured on 10/18/24 to accept this “ opportunity “ to get the books into the B& N stores in time for the holiday season. We were very reluctant, we went through several rounds of negotiations to assuage our concerns. We agreed to this deal and sent $10,000 with USAA credit card ( this money is back to us now), $28,840.00 was wire transferred on 11/04/2024 from my account of Umpqua Bank. according to the contract that “ guaranteed “ we would get the $38,840 back directly from ABP if Barnes and Noble failed to sell enough books to deliver royalties equal to the $38,840.. In fact, there was no accounting delivered by ABP to us. We have asked repeatedly for the required accounting since then, we have been given no evidence to show that the 5,000 copies of my book that we paid for were ever distributed to the 600B&N bookstores as required by the contract. On 2/03/2025, we checked the Barnes and Noble online page, there was no listing for my book “ Virtue” and no listing for the author, Geoffrey Holland. Authors Book publishing has failed to meet their obligations under contract in multiple ways. They are scammers, cheated most of my savings. Date of experience: January 03, 2025

Author’s Book Publishing, a New York City-based business, sell themselves very effectively. We decided to trust Authors Book Publishing to publish and promote my novel, Virtue. We bought in for nearly $10,000 for their premium ‘Platinum’ package. Soon after, Jay Brown, our ABP account manager, convinced us to hand them almost $40,000 more to get Virtue in into of one America's leading book selling chains. That was ABP’s claim. We’ve seen no evidence since then that Virtue was ever available in any of the book sellers stores. We recently learned that the book selling chain's website includes a disclaimer warning that they do not sell books that come to them that way. The book selling chain warned that the game we were caught in was a shakedown. ABP’s ‘guaranteed return’ turned out to be a scam. We now know there are others who have been victimized by Authors Book Publishing. Let this be a warning Authors Book Publishing cannot be trusted. Geoffrey Holland Author, Virtue

Jay Brown scammed me! Yes, they published my book and made it available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble but then they offered a supposedly deal to sell my book overseas. I sent $54,600 that was supposedly going to foreign distributors. In turn, I was supposed to receive $13000 monthly beginning January 7th. It is now February, and I have received nothing. Jay Brown will not return my numerous phone calls. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! 2/10/25 After I posted this initial review, Jay Brown finally called me and ASKED ME TO TRUST HIM - THAT I WOULD RECEIVE SOMETHING IN THE NEXT 48 HOURS! It's 2/14 and of course, nothing. Now someone named Jane Walker has contacted me. She assures me that she is working on my case but, of course, nothing has happened. She promised to contact me every other day, but that, too, was a lie. I am 76 years old. My wife has Alzheimer's. I was counting on my royalties so that I could properly care for my wife. These dishonest people have taken all of this away from me! I hope that no one is taken. If I could give a score lower than 1...I WOULD! 04/07/25 It's April 2025 and I have still received nothing. During March, I was contacted by a Jane Walker and someone else named Carlynn who promised me that I would receive money by the end of March. Now...they will not even answer the phone, and I have still received nothing. PLEASE...FOR YOUR SAKE...DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH ANYONE FROM AUTHOR'S BOOK PUBLISHING! I hope that you read this review BEFORE you do anything! Please leave a comment if you wish to speak with me directly and I will be glad to give you the sordid details.

Authors Book Publishing did not respect the deadlines agreed to in our contract and let them pass without acknowledging, apology, or revision. I have had to assume full responsibility for keeping ABP's agents on track, and refuse their many overpriced upsells while forcing them to do their jobs as formally agreed. (For instance, Copyright registration assistance is offered for $1,000, yet it is only $265 and simple to do yourself.) ABP missed numerous crucial edits- as simple as a missing quotation mark, they neglected to create proper spacing between chapters, and posted an inaccurate table of contents complete with missing page numbers. Even after catching these errors myself pre-publication, some were still printed in the paperback addition! I also approved a different book cover and description than what was actually submitted on my behalf, and I have yet to see any proof that ABP is actually promoting my book as contracted. I really wanted to give these guys a chance- the promotional aspects were especially attractive to me. However, this experience has been a stressful waste of my time, money, and overall patience. One agent has been very responsive and wrote a beautiful description for my book, but unfortunately the same quality of service has not extended to the overall quality of the book itself. Other options exist to assist with self-publishing, and I strongly recommend you save yourself the headache and use a different service. I sure wish I had!

So this is an update to a previous review that I had left. My campaign with this company started in mid June-July time frame. It first started with some guy named Harry and his assistant Mary. Then after they couldn't get it together on what my book should be promoted as...despite me sending numerous emails, texts and revisions, it was handed off to Alex. It went ok for a little while, I was still having to plead with them to not market my book as a Bible study book because it was a supernatural romance. Then I was sending the photos for examples of my characters, which they in turned used on my website amd social media accounts. These, by the way were all Ai generated. Then nothing, zip, zero nada. Then suddenly I get Zane as a project manager. I have had it by this time and just want my money back. Which ofcourse when I start telling them this I start to get ghosted. Zane did try but his manager- whatever her name is, has refused to call me back because I keep insisting that I want my money back. She stated two weeks ago that she would call me then Zane stated that it would be yesterday. Still nothing. So I did some investigating and found that the address that they have listed, is not a real address. That is according to BBB. BBB can't even find them!!! So I was also was told by Jay Brown, that Alex was promoted when I was told by their manager he was laid off due to many issues. So this company can't even keep their stories straight on what happened. RUN FROM THEM. THEY ARE SCAM! If you ever ask for your money which is supposeed to be 100 percent returned if not satisfied. Which I was not because I had to start doing my own marketing due to their inability to fulfill their agreement and contract with me. Yes, I kept every text, email and phone record. I have started looking into legal advice about this situation. SO if you decide to do business with so called company-you have been warned.
