Incorrect insurance advice led to financial loss on non-refundable hotel booking
I contacted this agency before booking to confirm whether the travel insurance they offered would cover me as a non US resident. I was advised that it would, and based on that assurance, I proceeded with a non-refundable booking. After payment, it became clear that the insurance was not valid for non US residents. This left me with a non-refundable hotel booking that I would not have made had I been given correct information. As a result, I incurred a financial loss. I raised this with the agency, but they have declined to take responsibility for the incorrect advice given prior to purchase. This experience has been disappointing, particularly as I relied on their guidance when making an important booking decision.

Dear Adora, I wanted to follow up regarding your reservation and provide an update on the resolution. As previously discussed, the groom, Nick Atumah, arranged for your reservation to be transferred to another family member, Pascal Aguagba, who will be coordinating directly with you regarding reimbursement for the use of your room. In addition, as a gesture of goodwill, Authentic Travel Connections will be issuing you a reimbursement of $886.00. Please allow up to 30 days from today for the funds to be processed and reflected back to the original credit/debit card on file. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to bring this matter to a close. If you have any questions in the meantime, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Warm regards,
