Aunt Bug’s Cabin RentalsReviews of auntbugs.com

Do not stay at Pinnacle Pool View Lodge #628 OR ANY OF AUNT Bugs Cabins. did not like nothing about this property it was the worst vacation home I ever stayed in. It was filthy no WiFi and no AC .i addressed issues with management and they did nothing. There were broke items in the home , dead bugs, and spiderweb’s everywhere. It had a horrible smell in one the bedrooms that we could never get rid of with carpet freshener, Lysol or air freshener. I would not recommend no one to rent these cabins the theater never worked because there was no WiFi and management did not care. I could not enjoy my vacation because of the constant calling I had to do about the issues. When I complained to booking because I wanted my money back they lied to booking saying the we broke items so they wouldn’t have to refund. They are a fraud!!!!! If you see any good reviews trust and believe it’s from them are their family…..STAY AWAY FROM AUNT BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't stay at Mountain Hideaway through Aunt Bugs !! I swear the cleaner simply walked in, hung new towels and left !!! The cabin is disgusting! Mold on shower liners and all over bathroom floors.. toilets were dirty, floors never swept or mopped ! Cobwebs on everything ! The furniture hadn't been dusted in a long time ! The Owners need to take responsibility for their filthy cabin also !! The cabin needs a major deep cleaning. And the furniture is filthy, and very uncomfortable! We had to wash the bedding because the sheets were full of hair ! I have felt grossed out through our whole stay! If you want a CLEAN cabin, rent through Cabins for You or Timbertops. I cleaned her for 10 years and they demand their cabins be perfectly clean !!

I rented a cabin from a third-party which involved this company. I ran into a situation medically with having some severe heart issues. I reached out to the company and asked if they could reschedule my time. It took it took two weeks of getting the runaround to finally find out that they would not. There was nothing that they could do or would do you know there again wasn’t looking for a return of my money just a scheduled date when I was feeling better.

When I made the reservation I told the lady that I needed a cabin with very few steps to get in because I had two senior citizens. She rented me a cabin with a many steps. It is in disrepair mold in the bathrooms. Deck furniture is filthy grill does not work. Dirt under chairs in living room. Screens missing off multiple windows Called them and they are going to come clean it

We booked a cabin from December 29th thru January 5th. We were going to be a day late arriving due to issues in traveling so we called the day before to make sure we wouldn’t lose our reservation due to late check–in. We were assured that we were all set. When we did arrive we were shocked at the condition of the cabin considering they had an entire extra day to get it ready. The outdoor faucet was running all over the rear deck which we shut off. The hot tub was broken and barely worked for the first day. We never made it in the hot tub because it was clearly not operating properly or cleaned prior to our visit. The refrigerator door seal kept falling off every time you opened the door. The toaster was broken. The microwave was broken and smelled of electrical fire. The washer and dryer were filthy and broken which I repaired both of them so that we could you them to wash everything. The floor was no swept or mopped. Socks were filthy within minutes of walking around on it. They were nice enough to leave a broom but we had to mop the floor with paper towels as there was no mop. The shower was dirty and had hair in the drain. The Jacuzzi tub inside the cabin was dirty so we cleaned it to try and salvage part of our trip. Nope the hot water tank was barely big enough to fill 2 inches of water into the Jacuzzi and would have taken close to 3 hours to fill at the rate it took to heat more hot water to add. Several lights didn’t work; globes on ceiling fans were broken or missing and some of the dishes were dirty. The wifi basically didn’t work for the whole week we were there. We also called for three days to try and get someone to remove the trash since all the cans were full and they never came for that so we got stuck keeping a bag of trash inside to smell for the week. I tried to give management the chance to make this right by talking to Rusty in the office. All the issues with this cabin and the best answer he could give me was that they had been really really busy and it was coming close to the end of their busy rental season so the units were going to have some issues with everyone renting them. We were ultimately sent a voucher for ONE free night when we return. What a joke. I will be doing a dispute with my credit card company and filing a complaint with the BBB regarding these companies’ practices. I am posting this review so others don’t make the same mistake we did. Most of their rentals are in the Hidden Springs Resort directly behind Dollywood (which seems to be a secret because they won’t give you an address for anything until you check in). If you do a Google search you will be able to find several larger rental companies in this resort that from outside appearances look like they are in way better condition than the ones Aunt Bugs rents. PLEASE believe the reviews about this place all over Google and don’t make the same mistake we did. This was a 20th anniversary trip and we couldn’t have been more disappointed in this place. I expect to get their standard response to this review that you will find all over Google about how sorry they are but we hope you have a better experience next time. If more people read these bad reviews maybe they will start fixing things or they won’t have to worry about business being busy anymore.

Stay away from AUNT BUGS RENTALS - Horrible experience - Filthy Cabin - Black mold everywhere - Filthy bedding - AUNT BUGS does not care about your experience, just your money. I will write a review on every site I can to warn the public about this horrible rental company. The cabin I'm referring to is called Heavenly Creekside and the address is 3576 Mountain Creek Way, Cosby, Tn 37722, stay away from it. The pics on their website are from many years ago, it does not look like the pics on their website anymore. AUNT BUGS and their rental agents are liars about verifying the cleanliness of the cabin before you get there. We had soiled pillows and bedding, spiders, roaches and black mold everywhere, Dog poop all over the front and back yard, no working fire detectors even though there was a fireplace, rust and dried food in the pots and pans. I think you get the picture. Stay away from AUNT BUGS RENTALS, you will be very disappointed and ripped off!

From the first night we were there the neighbors dogs ruined the experience. Contacted Aunt Bugs and they just want to give me the local sheriffs number to call instead of dealing with the issue. They knew it was the neighbors dog when we spoke. There were 3 different dogs on the porch of our cabin. One was aggressive towards us. We rented the cabin to be able to use the pond on it it but never was able to use it due to the dogs. We could not enjoy the experience at all. Even during the night the one dog barked all night long. We brough our dog and was not even able to take her outside much because of this. We overlooked the cleanliness and all the broken things in the cabin since it was our first time there. We will not use this company again and will tell everyone not to use it. We paid money to be able for certain aspects and was very disappointed in not being able to enjoy our vacation.

Filthy bedding. The comforter had not been changed. There appears to have been bodily fluids all over it. It was simply turned over. When contacted the company said they would rectify immediately. When I returned to the cabin 12 hours later nothing had been done.
