August Berg: watch was faulty, poor customer services
August Berg produce watches that aren't cheap. I appreciate you could spend more, but at their prices, you expect the watch to work. I would say they are beautiful aesthetically, but within a few months the watch stopped working. Historically, they have allowed the watch to be repaired locally with photos and a receipt to satisfy the warranty requirements. Now, they want you to - at your own cost - pay shipping, import/export taxes and guarantee the watch's safety in transit to send to their head office. Nothing else will do. I covered the cost of the watch repair at my local Watch Nation as it was cheaper than sending it to the August Berg head office, and they discovered an internal component was faulty which they replaced. August Berg customer service asked for photos and a reciept, which I provided, offered a partial refund, I asked for clarity around their warranty language but received no reply. I chased, and asked for the original refund. Radio silence. I get that sometimes products are faulty, that happens. But when you're paying that much for a watch, you expect it to work and if it is faulty, you expect a more reactive customer services team.
