I just found out that I have to take it since I was born after 1987 and I want to hunt on public land, and use an ATV to get there. I have been using atvs, dirt bikes, three wheelers, anything with an engine since I was about 7. Now I'm 30. This course was a joke. If you were someone with no experience and needed all the very basic info, this would have been great. But for me, it was a waste of 26$ plus 10$ to register it with the dnr. I literally skimmed every slide and waited for the timer to get to the next one. Got 100% on every quiz and the final. It was overly basic and repetitive. This is made for kids to take, not adults. There should be a separate course for adults or even just an exam opt out instead of having to waste 4 hours on slides with timers so you can't skip them.

Minnesota DNR does everything and anything to take your money. Ive had my driver's license for 11 years. Driven snowmobile since I was 6 years old and have my motorcycle license. But have to spend hours online and spend/waste another 26 bucks to take this "course". Yet 99% of the questions are so ridiculously easy/common sense i could have done it in 10 minutes from the beginning. Once again, government wins simply because they can.

I made the login and password, then used my credit card for payment. Then had my 12 yr old son complete the course. But now the certificate has my name and birthday on it. I can't change the login name and birth date. Why doesn't the system know at 46 years old I'm not going to do this really dumb training for myself? The audio reminded me of 1970 horrible military training videos, so boring my son fell asleep during it.

Making me sit and wait at every instruction page was literally torture. I would have been better off just taking the test without any of the instructions. Thank you for charging me $30 to waste a huge amount of my time.

A long course that is painful. They tell you how long it should take and you can’t speed it up. No count down clock so you don’t know how much longer you have to wait. Not a recommended course. Took 4 hours.

Love the opportunity for my kids to take an online safety course. Unfortunately because ATV.com only recognizes email addresses it will not let me register my other children without creating a bogus email account (per ATV.com's customer service rep). When I ask to speak with a manager because I want to get the certificates and invoice receipts emailed to me, she stated there was no manager onsite or available. I can't believe with their millions of users I'm the only one not willing to create a dummy email account just to use their system.

Website constantly froze, requiring refresh often.
