AternosReviews of aternos.org

I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. My friend used to run his server on aternos, the server would randomly shut down and it always took at least 30 minutes to restart itself, then if no one was on for like 2 minutes it would shut itself down. Then when the server was up it always had high ping and lagged a lot. And half of the time it wouldn't even save my builds on the server at all. Anyways we are done with this garbage hosting, we are now using mine craft hosting pro.

While it does let you create a free server, there are many better free hosts, who don't have ads and don't require a player to be online all the time, and are instead funded by a freemium business model out there that offer nicer support and et cetera. EDIT: I think that most of the good reviews are fake, Aternos is basically a waste of time. Also, it’s very easy to make your own server on your computer, or, in my case used a cheap (almost disposable cheap) Raspberry Pi to create a better server, no wait times, everything is much better. No reason to use Aternos. Staff are also bad ar replying, really bad host.

when i first started using the servers i thought it would be safe i guess not anymore since it was hacked and send your info to the users of the dark web avoid at all cost

Sadly, the axiom of "you get what you pay for' is true. This is a free server, and you pay nothing, and that is just about what you get. Extremely long wait times just for start up, then IF it starts without hitting an idle timer and having to reboot you into the queue, the server either randomly shuts off or just crashes. Look, if you have an hour to wait for startup and random spikes, you can afford to NOT use a "free" application. Just go spend $2 on a cheap server and you'll get what you pay for there, without the long waiti period.

I had spent 3 hours building my house then the server just switched itself off while I was active and deleted everything. There were also other players on the world and all of their beautiful creations are GONE!
