AternosReviews of aternos.org

Ignoring the 9-year-olds who don't understand a website that gets revenue off of ads. This server hosting is the best you'll get without paying a penny. I've never had to wait longer than 10 minutes so I don't know why people are crying. Not to mention this is one of the, if not only, a server that allows you to play on snapshots for free. Be forewarned: Going to a different page on the site while booting up the server will immediately kick you out of the queue and initiate a shutdown on the server. So if you want to make edits to the server, do it before queueing.

Honestly this is a great alternative over other things like AWS since that cost money and me and my friends just want to play some Minecraft and I don't know where you are from but I am in queue for 5 minutes and then it makes a sound to confirm and then it loads I don't know how you have a problem like that and my server has 1800mb allocated for the server.

Best server hosting ever!!! And it's FREE!!!Just think about it. How many servers are free? Next to none. Great staff service. Helpful and kind. But

IT'S FREE. WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT. All the 1 stars give a bad rating because of bad staff, low gigs, and bad performance, or long wait times because there are forty thousand people lined up to use this great server, but it's FREE. It doesn't have the responsibility of a giant like google to make youtube fair, it just runs Minecraft servers, and damn well for a free server. Would definitely recommend donating to for them to expand their cloud services.

Free Minecraft servers, i love it. Sometimes the queue for the server to turn on is 5 minutes and in 1.13 and above the server can be laggy (low tps/ping) because of 1.13 water mechanics, but since its free, I don't care, and the site uses google ad system so you don't have like popup ads or bad ads like 18+. so I give it 5 stars :)

Worked fantastic for my personal server with a couple friends. Not sure how it'd handle larger servers, but it suits my needs just fine. And best of all, it's free! Waiting times haven't been very long during afternoons in Australia, only a couple minutes.

Many people have rated in comparison to PAID server hosts that are built to handle more complex situations. However, I have found Aternos to be more powerful than it even should be for a free server. My friend and I play a mod pack available on twitch called "Roguelike Adventures and Dungeons" that features 180 individual mods, which the server can actually handle. If a free server host can accept and tolerate an abundance of mods, then it 100% deserves a 5 star rating. Aternos is great for playing almost anything with a few friends, which I'm assuming is mainly the purpose of their website. If you are looking for a host that can handle tens of hundreds of players in different locations, look for a more powerful paid host. Because it is free, occasional lag spikes and wait time will be a factor, but they have definitely been working to reduce these issues. Depending on the day of the week, I usually do not have to wait more than 5 minutes for my server (fully modded) to load up. In conclusion, rating it low in comparison to paid hosts is not very fair.
