Idea/concept is really great, but quality of build isn't. Stopped working properly after a few days. Wasnt possible to switch through programs or clear recorded tracks. For this reason novelty wore off fast.

I've waited a long time for a product which still isn't finished. Still after month's, can't save songs and sounds a bit off. And about the whole Kickstarter blamage, that is just terrible. The lies and misinformation, and still no full delivery (like the shirt). And when most of the KS Backers where waiting for their (unfinished) Orba, Artiphon thought it was a "great" idea to update with an sleeve for your (still not recieved) orba. By the way, with an sleeve it doesn't fit in the travel case. The whole point of the orba was that you could make some music and save it for use. Which is 50% of what it can do now. I will never back Artiphon on KS or anywhere else, but just wait until it is in the shops (way faster in EU, and cheaper) and then I have also some warrenty. For people considering the Orba, wait just a few years, maybe it is then finished.

I really like the Orba, but the app lets it down so badly and the customer support from Artiphon is abysmal. It seems that the app is constantly in beta phase and we’ve been waiting months for the save feature to be reintroduced. Without being able to save songs, the Orba is nothing better than an over-priced toy. We’ve had promises that this feature is ‘a priority’, but it’s been months now. Is the developer that bad? Heads really should be rolling, but it seems that the customer experience is not important to Artiphon. I’m afraid I am not impressed and regret buying the Orba because of the software. ☹️

Delays, lack of communication and a product that I can't use fully due to severe limitations with software. The app won't run properly on my Windows 10 laptop. My 8 year old Mac Mini can't install the app as the OS is 'too old' and the Android app is a total waste of time. Tested the app on two Sony phones and an Honor phone. The Bluetooth connection gets dropped after a few seconds and the app itself, even if it worked, is pretty poor. So I have an Orba, running the default sounds, I can't change them, I can't change the key and I can't update the Orba. I emailed Artiphon about the issue and other than receiving a message that dodged most of my problems, was told to update the Mac... I can't unfortunately. So the Orba has great potential, but software issues and poor customer service let's it down badly.

I'm more dissapointed with Artiphon than I've been with any company in quite a long while. I ordered one after reading a review but was stunned when I finally got an email that said, maybe four weeks before possible seeing my device. That caused me to dig deeper and read about the many people who have ordered and not received their Orba's or who have tried to get a hold of someone and failed or any of the other customer-related questions and concerns. I've emailed numerous times to try and reach someone and nothing. I thought I'd finally had a moment of success on Twitter with a seemingly nice person named Jacob but now nothing. My newest email was a request to cancel but at this point I've given up on the company.

The physical product seems great, but many months after receiving it the Android software promised for launch is still in Beta and is unusable. This means the product is little more than an expensive toy at the moment.

I figured out how to get the Instrument 1 to do portamento on one string using the editor. It took me a while to configure it but I love it now.
