My experience is good but I sent in my manuscript and they sent it back to me after editing and a lot of the content was missing. Perhaps the editor did it on purpose and was thinking of reaching a certain audience but I was not told that. They also kept sending me back the wrong copy of the book that had not been totally proof read plus there was a lot of forms to fill out on Google docs and I never used it before so I had to learn. So much paper work with specific instructions. But I think the book turned out looking very nice but I want to read it to make sure there are no errors.

I was disappointed with the time to edit the manuscript, but got over that. When I got the final product, the printing was extremely faint. Not all that happy, but loved the design of the book and the cover.

I had an awesome experience and the only reason I’m giving it a three is because the wrong Author’s photo was used. After many discussion the wrong photo was used. The photo that was used is not good. Sad about that and my photo is important. Best, Chloe Sylvers

I don’t really have all the answers compared to the money I have paid for marketing. The book is published with a few mistakes partly my fault. Hopefully, we will resolve these issues together in the near future.

Okay experience

Although I feel Archway did a pretty good job on the layout and quality of my novel, they fell short (very short) on several other aspects of the publishing package. Perhaps they are too big of an organization (and are more concerned with collecting your money) -- as they push you through the system and "check" they are done with you -- on to the next inspiring author. If all you want is a tangible book to share with friends and family -- Archway is a good avenue for you. However, if you believe in your book and want to see it "fly" - I suggest you find another publisher.

I chose to self publish because I did not want to go through the rejection process. I chose Archway because of its affiliation with Simon and Schuster. On initial contact I was promised that a concierge would 'hold my hand' every step of the way. This was not the case. I was often left adrift in my ignorance. However, I persevered and am happy with the professional look of the end product. At every step I was offered additional services. I selected several. In the end, each copy of my book cost me around $100. It was worth it to me as a final memoir for my friends and relatives. However, reading books is out of style and the great grandchildren are unlikely to ever read it. Perhaps publishing was an exercise in futility, but the process and the experience was fun. So I offer a mixed review. Publishing a book was certainly as interesting as the Covid-canceled cruise I had planned.

Archway got Three Stars from me . The company's representatives get FIVE Stars. The actually publishing IT department gets a 0 Stars. After I approved my cover design proof and interior design proof, my book went to press. The interior design that I approved was published totally incorrectly by the Archway Publishing. I have spent close to $4,000. dollars for a disaster. That was three weeks ago, I am being shuffled to one representative to another . I am shocked and very disappointed to have to go thru this process of clarifying  Archways error again and again and yet again to another one of their representatives . I want the interior design error by the Archway corrected. I bought 10 of my softcover and 10 of my hardcover books at the author's price plus the free books that a author receives .I want  my books  to be the correct design interior and sent to me at NO Cost (since I already paid almost $500) "Why Can't I." Everyone I worked with was wonderful. A very pleasant experience, until I received mu book and saw that it was published incorrectly probably thru a corrupt file error by Archway.
