5 days before my first vacation in 5 years, I realized that my passport had expired and also did not have my married name on it. I was in complete and total shock that I could overlook my own passport after having nagged my husband for months to get his renewed. In a panicked and frenzied state I searched the net for answers. I did not know what to do or believe. Could this company really get this done for me? After calling the company I booked my trip through and finding out changing the flights and hotel would cost an additional $1000, I decided to take the risk and try with APVI. I gave them my credit card info at 1:30am. Immediate terror insued. If this didn't work then I've lost more than $1000. The following morning I called to see how to start the paperwork. My call was answered right away by Michael. He explained to me that I did not have time to waste. The information he needed including my marriage certificate had to be gathered and sent later that day due to my tight time frame. He told me that I needed to be calm when filling out the forms because panic is how mistakes happen. He gave me his direct number to call him back later so he could talk me through the final steps before overnighting my documents. He even made a last second judgement call to send my papers to a different city to give me the best chance for having it go through in time. 3 days passed with updates along the way and I have my passport in my possession. Until it got here I was a nervous wreck. Everything worked out because thanks to Michael, I had everything in order and correct. I hope to never need this service again (no offense APVI) but for those who need it, it can work. I am so glad I took a chance.
