The phone was delivered as promised but failed to have the US number and the return label. A call to Amigo got me the number but no return label. I had to reboot the phone per the instructions to get it to work in Israel. After that, it worked just fine. Would have given it 5 stars if not for the stated glitches.

Wanted a cell phone for use in Israel. All was good, but the maps feature didn't work which is a main reason that I rented the phone. Couldn't google map and if I got lost, the phone wouldn't be able to help me. I phoned Amigo in the USA and they said that they are not responsbible for the apps. Also, all internet searches were coming up in the UK and i couldn't figure out how to do a usa search.

when i arrived in israel i was unable to get my sim card to work. the problem was that customer service was unavailable as they run on NY time zone. once the office opened in NY customer service was able to help me right away and problem resolved. the rest of my stay Amigo was great, no problems!!

I had a very pleasant experience with my Amigo phone during a recent trip to Israel. I picked it up and returned it to their Teaneck location which was very convenient for me. The phone worked great and did not disappoint me. The only negative was that the phone didn't work outside Israel (during my stopover); I was prepared to pay extra roaming charges but the phone calls didn't go through at all.

We rented a basic phone and the simple plan for two weeks in Israel. Total final cost was $40. It was delivered on time and return was no biggie...follow the direction. The times we needed it really came in handy calling cabs, checking reservations, etc. I never did figure out the 'US number'option. That could use more explanation. Phone was 'Blu' branded phone. Older model but worked fine. Nice and small and kept charged the whole time. Knocked down one star because provide manual was poor. This is really an issue with the phone manufacturer. I think if you just need a basic phone and do not want the unneeded expense of a 'Geo-Phone' or the hassle of swapping SIM cards in another country for your unlocked smart phone than this is a good option

There were places where I was unable to get service which was frustrating but for the most part it worked well.

The phones are good, the delivery was excellent but I would have liked clearer instructions on their use.

I very much like the older model Blackberry I ordered. It is easy to use and clear in its key functions. It maintains good communication. I also like the unlimited data plan I ordered. This makes staying in touch easy. The shop where I pick up my phone are courteous and efficient. It is great to be able to pick up the phone where you live, before you travel.
