One star is more than this company deserves
One star is more than this company deserves. First Alert Medical seems to believe that canceling your service is merely a suggestion. We canceled, confirmed the cancellation, and repeatedly told them to stop contacting us. Despite that, they still call before 8:00 a.m. with “low battery” alerts for equipment that was disconnected long ago. It’s hard to understand how a company can fail at something as basic as removing a canceled account. The reason we left was their awful customer service. Representatives were rude, dismissive, and seemed far more interested in arguing than helping. Worst of all, they repeatedly upset our 94-year-old family member—the very person a medical alert company is supposed to protect and support. Instead of providing reassurance, they created stress and frustration. The fact that they continue contacting us after multiple requests to stop says everything about how they operate. If they can’t handle a simple cancellation correctly, it’s difficult to have confidence in anything else they do. if you do call to try and get them to stop chances are you will speak to their one employee Josh, who answers all support calls, tech, payments, everything. Josh is honestly the dimmest, rudest person I have ever spoken too. In all fairness that fits in with the rest of the company. Save yourself the frustration and choose a company that respects its customers, especially elderly ones. This experience has been a complete disappointment from beginning to end.
