In my experience, there was always some sort of authority nearby or available to help in case of emergency and to guide us when we were “alone”. but the best part was they didn’t hover over us, they let us explore and learn the city on our own and gave us a lot of independence to choose our favorite spots. I loved my host family, it’s a great way to learn the language and also make some lifelong friends as well as learn about how people in different countries actually go about their daily lives. Overall, great experience that I wish I could do all over again

I thought the AIFS Study Abroad program was great! I loved my time abroad and AIFS was very helpful in organizing my trip and connecting me to my university. My only warning was that my classes were much harder than I anticipated. I really enjoyed them, but had to work very hard to achieve good grades. Overall, I loved my time abroad and definitely recommend AIFS!

AIFS was the best way to study abroad! The on site advisers are so helpful and are there to cater to any and every need you may have while abroad. AIFS made it super easy to transfer credit to my home university and made it simple to apply. AIFS had amazing excursions to take part in at your host institution. I loved studying abroad with AIFS and I would 100% recommend AIFS Study Abroad Programs to anyone who wishes to go abroad and have an amazing experience!

I really enjoyed travelling abroad with AIFS, and made many friends. It was such a fun experience and I would highly recommend it to those who want an intercultural learning opportunity. The professors were also really understanding and weren't too demanding academically.

All around AIFS was a wonderful experience! The price wasn't too steep for the amount of time I spent abroad. I was worried at first about the meal inclusion, as I thought the amount given would not be enough, but they had a wonderful deal with local restaurants and businesses, they were a perfect amount AND it helped for allowing us to immerse ourselves in the food and culture. If you have the opportunity, I would absolutely recommend AIFS!

I honestly loved my time in Costa Rica with the AIFS program. The excursions were phenomenal, the staff was spectacular, and the host families were some of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. The school that my program was with was less than impressive, only because it was a school for the arts and they did not put enough thought/work into building other programs for their many international students. Other than that, the classes we super easy and required almost no work. The Spanish classes, however, were great! The teachers were devoted, knowledgeable, and very helpful. This program was an experience of a lifetime, as long as you don't expect too much from the elective classes you take. Karla and Catalina are the greatest women I have ever met <3

I loved my time in Spain with AIFS. The program directors are amazing and super helpful! I wish there were more opportunities to interact with Spaniard my own age. A lot of the language exchanges I went to were with adults or Americans, so it would be awesome if AIFS connected students with more Spaniards.
