One of the things in my life I would never want to regret is studying abroad. I went through many ups and downs during the fall of 2019. Many times, I was wondered if I should leave early. I struggled with confidence and having a disability. I decided to stay till the end which shaped me into a resilient person. I was able to overcome my obstacles and learn many lessons and pick out the positives of each situations. Joining with AIFS on a semester to Berlin, Germany helped me understand myself. I realized that I could change myself in a positive way and be open to other perspectives and beliefs. I learned from my peers and there stories on why they wanted to study abroad. My experience was not so much to reinvent myself in four months, but to find a way to be a better person in an imperfect world and also encourage others to overcome challenges, grow from challenges and to know that not everyone will have the same experience. AIFS gave me the opportunity to travel and visit areas I would have never thought about going to if I went on my own.

This trip exceeded all my expectations and was truly an event I will remember forever. The structure was well planned, allowing students to have free time, planned trips, and enough time for work to get done. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone searching for relaxing break from what you are normally used to.

Overall I loved my study abroad experience. The only thing I would have changed was the activities offered by my program. The tended to be pretty dry while my friends in other programs like CIS had really cool activities like going to an escape room and painting a huge mug.

I had the greatest time of my life while abroad in London. I genuinely have absolutely nothing to complain about, everything was fantastic and I wouldn't give back my time in London for the world.

Aunque la mayoría de la gente que estudia en otro lugar dirán lo mismo, esta experiencia era algo inolvidable e increíblemente impactante en mi vida. Aprendí mucho en el aspecto educacional pero también aprendí muchísimas cosas de la cultura que solo se puede experimentar; aunque sí vi algunas cosas negativas de la cultura española, es parte de la experiencia auténtica que solo mejoró mi comprensión del mundo. Pero los aspectos positivos sobrepasan los negativos; conocí a gente de todas partes del mundo, aprendí el idioma mejor en muchos aspectos diferentes que no habría podido hacer en los EEUU y las directoras de los estudiantes son increíbles y siempre estaban allá para apoyarnos.

AIFS made my study abroad experience go as smoothly as possible. The process would not have been as easy as it was without the help of AIFS and I recommend anyone who wants to study abroad to consider going through this program. The staff is always willing to help, communicates effectively and quickly, and makes sure the students had a great experience in their time abroad! Overall, I am so glad I chose to go through AIFS.

Studying abroad with AIFS was the best decision I ever made in life. Crazy part is that I am not even kidding! It was an amazing opportunity and I for sure would do it again. I was able to visit 5 different countries in one semester. Another thing that made this experience so good was that AIFS staff was always there for me, consequently, there was not any time that I did not feel safe. Reccomend it 100%!!!!

My experience with AIFS Study Abroad in the Galapagos was beyond anything I could have imagined. I learned so much inside and outside of the classroom. The staff on the trip were very great at making me feel safe while abroad and in a new place that is out of my comfort zone in more ways than one.
