I had the best time abroad in Florence, Italy through my internship program. I went into it not knowing anyone and met some of my closest friends now. My internship placement was great, and I ended up learning a lot from it. I also had time to travel on the weekends to many different places. Overall, it was truly one of the best experiences of my life!

Staying in a great place, in the heart of Florence and meeting many great people made this experience amazing. One thing that wasn't the best was what I was doing for my internship. The environment and setting were fantastic but the work seemed repetitive and unimportant. However, I have heard the opposite from others in the program. Overall, living the Italian life, travelling all over Italy, and meeting all kinds of people made this a once-in-a-lifetime experience that I recommend to anyone who has the chance to do it.

I have loved working with Rosella Cavioni at Cavioni Milano. The material she is teaching me and working firsthand with the clients is very fulfilling.

What made my experience is great was how organize and caring the staff of AIFS were. I like that choosing a homestay with a host family was an option. I develop a good relationship with my host mother and father.

I liked all the excursions and the staff, Rome was a great city to study in

This program was a great opportunity. I learned a lot about Roman history in my classes. I also enjoyed going on the excursions to sorrento and Florence and doing the cultural activities. These opportunities allowed me to see a lot of Italy and learn more about the culture here .

Amanda and Antonella were the most helpful supervisors we could've had. From the start, they were so approachable and welcoming to me and all of the other interns that I talked to. They worked together and created an efficient system in which we could communicate with them if we had any needs or concerns with my housing or placement. Although I was never in need of emergency help, they both made it very clear that I could contact them at any hour and they would answer as soon as possible. They checked in with me and the other roommates several times to make sure that we were enjoying our time and having the best experience possible. I am so happy to have met these two and I will miss them so much when I leave.

Amazing! The first week, we were welcomed by Nele. The move-in day went smoothly. I really appreciated how she walked us through the neighborhood and told us where stores were, and other things. It made getting oriented much easier. We also rode the U-bahn the first time with her as well (I believe a few other times to different places), so I knew how to get to Lankwitz easily. SHE HAS THE BEST RESTAURANT GUIDE EVER! I didn't start using it until the end and I totally regret not using it from the beginning! The program dinners were always really fun and the trips were amazing. Overall, the experience was amazing. Also, she was always available to answer questions and help, which was nice to know I had someone I could call.
