It was a good program. The classes worked out well. The trips that were part of the program were good as well. If you choose this program, make sure that you are capable of dotting your Is and crossing your Ts because it could cost you reimbursements or make your life unnecessarily difficult.

I loved that AIFS planned excursions for us to look forward to during the semester! It took the hassle out of sightseeing and allowed me to get to know my fellow study abroad students better. There's not much I would change about this program!

The classes and people I met were wonderful. As for the accomodations to live in, we had bedbugs and it made the semester very stressful. We were reimbursed for a small portion of our room and board, but it definitely put a damper on the trip.

My experience in Prague was definitely one in a lifetime! I had so many amazing memories and experiences that I would not take back for the world. The reason I am giving this program a 4 star instead of a 5 is because of housing. With the amount of money that I paid, I had to deal with really bad housing! There was construction while we were living there so there would be smoke (either from cigarettes or the construction itself) and extremely loud noises and machinery that made it hard to study or woke me up. However, the free breakfast on weekdays was definitely a plus! The program overall, was great and I would recommend it to others

Overall, I am very glad that I got to study abroad through AIFS! There were so many amazing excursions included in our program and I absolutely adored our Resident Director. My entire program had problems with our AIFS France contact in the states and we weren’t very informed about the program application and visa processes. However, once we were abroad and in our program, we had a great time.

I appreciated all the work AIFS did. They made my study abroad experience possible. They also made it easier to do a lot of the paperwork such as transferring grades, obtaining travel papers, and more. I really enjoyed my time in the program. The reason I gave it 4 and not 5 stars was because there were some issues with the university I studied at (classes were full before study abroad students were allowed to sign up, dorms were not very high quality, professors leaving partway through the semester ect.)

AIFS was the best part of my study abroad experience. All of the different events we had were fun and a great way to get used to the city. I was very reassuring to have someone living nearby who could help us out with any problems we had plus our housing was way better then people that enrolled in FU BEST (Berlin) other ways. The issue was that it was not communicated to us at all about FU BEST's policies. Which if I had known I would have chose a different program. We were forced to attend FU BEST events or fail out. These were always extremely poorly organized and involved at least an hour of waiting around. My advice would be to do your research into the actual overseas program because I would have never enrolled in FU BEST if I had known what I know but AIFS was the only thing that saved my study abroad.In the end it was clear that the people who ran AIFS actually cared about your experience while the school did not.
