I cannot say enough wonderful things about Maryam Garba. She worked with us every step of the way and helped us build a thoughtful, strategic plan that ultimately supported our daughter in getting into her dream school, the University of Michigan. We started working with her later in our daughter’s junior year, but you truly would never have known it. She jumped right in with focus, care, structure, and a clear understanding of how to help us position our daughter’s story, strengths, and goals in the best possible way. I also want to be very clear: our daughter is an incredibly smart, hardworking student with strong stats, great leadership, and a beautiful track record of achievement. Nothing takes away from the work she put in or the excellence she brought to the table. What made the difference was having the right guidance to help us organize, refine, and present all of that in a strategic and compelling way. With her support, our daughter was accepted into many top schools, and we are so grateful for the role she played throughout this process. Affirm Education was engaged to help my daughter secure her post Grad Education in the US. As a Management Consultant myself, from my first meeting with her, I knew she knew her onions and I was comfortable with engaging her. I like how granular Maryam is, her knowledge of what is possible, application process, options available and looking at the big picture while still looking out for whats best for the child. I like also that she was able to nudge my daughter to show up more during her GRE tests and that push gave her a better score by the 2nd attempt. She can be quite patient which is commendable and would always recommend her. I am glad my daughter got several offers and we will be settling for John Hopkins Business School .
