WARNING - DO NOT USE THIS AIRPORT TAXI SERVICE!
Beware of this airport taxi service, as they hire liars and thieves! My review is actually less than one star!! This company advertises a flat rate, yet the taxi driver who came to take my husband and I to the airport kept saying that we should give him $6.00 more than what we were quoted. Worst than that, though, is that the taxi driver stole one of our carry-on bags! My husband put three bags in the taxi trunk and closed it, came into the house for a few minutes to get me, and when we got to the airport there were only two bags in the trunk, and the taxi driver denied seeing it or taking it. To give him the benefit of the doubt, we had him drive us back home to see if we left it there, but it was nowhere to be found. We called his employer, who must have confronted him, as later on that day someone from the airport Lost and Found called us saying that security found our carry-on bag. Instead of the taxi driver bringing it back to our home, he took it to the airport and left it outside of the terminal so that airport security would find it, and luckily they found it before someone else stole it! Aeroport Taxi & Limousine Service wouldn't compensate us at all, not even giving us back the money we paid to the taxi driver. The police won't do anything because we have no proof that he took it, even though there was only my husband and I and the taxi driver involved, so who would you say took the carry-on bag? The contents of the bag were to no one's benefit but us, as, among other necessary items, it had bags of liquids and gels and pills, including prescription medication and prescription contact lenses and eyeglasses, which we couldn't leave without on our trip. As a result, we had to miss our flight and pay over $1,000.00 for a new flight, as we were booked on a cruise ship four days later, which we couldn't miss as it was non-refundable. My husband and I will never take a taxi again, especially from Aeroport Taxi & Limousine Service. Recommendation: Take Uber instead! Aeroport Taxi & Limousine is trying to say that my husband and I forgot to put our carry-on bag in the taxi and, as a result, missed our flight, and that now we are trying to blame their company for this. I wish to reiterate that my husband and I would have certainly returned to the airport to catch our flight that morning if we had found our carry-on bag at home, as there was enough time to do so, and we have proof that a security officer at the airport found our carry-on bag at the airport later that same day, took it to the Lost and Found, and that we picked up our bag at the airport the next day. Obviously we didn't have the carry-on bag at home as it was found at the airport, and we didn't leave it at the airport as it wasn't in the trunk of the taxi when we got there. How did our carry-on bag get to the airport if the taxi driver hadn't taken it back there? He's the only one that would have had it. We have no idea where the taxi driver hid our carry-on bag at the time my husband came into the house to get me. All we know is that it was no longer in the trunk when we got to the airport. It is our belief that the taxi driver returned our carry-on bag to the airport because he panicked when he was confronted by his employer after we informed the company, as well as the police, about the theft and/or saw that there wasn't anything of value to him in the bag. Because of this event we lost four days of our vacation, in addition to having to pay for another flight. My husband and I are honest people, and we are telling the truth in this post in order to warn other people about this company, despite what the company may say about this event. We leave it up to the discretion of the reader as to who to believe. Apparently this taxi driver is a friend or family member of someone at the company, so we believe they are covering for him, but he shouldn't have a job driving people to the airport! Lesson learned: Do not leave personal belongings unattended when taking a taxi!! Update: My husband and I requested that this taxi company send us videotaped proof from the taxi camera that the driver didn't get out of the taxi and open the trunk at our home when we weren't there, which they haven't done, nor have they replied to our emails. This proves to us that the taxi driver must be guilty of opening the trunk and taking our carry-on bag before my husband and I came out of the house to get into the taxi to go to the airport, which bag we now believe was put into the wheelwell of the trunk, and also that Aeroport Taxi & Limousine Service knows that the taxi driver committed this crime and are covering for him because he is a friend/family member, as the Manager previously told us that he has "known him all of his life"! Anyone who decides to use this taxi service should be extremely cautious. We feel this company shouldn't be in business, as they are all crooks who don't care about their clients!
