Was led into a Winnipeg store by a very friendly sales girl who put a sample of eye serum on one of my eyes. After leaving the store, I ran some errands and upon checking my face in my car mirror about an hour later, I see a crusty film under my eye and forehead where the cream was applied. I was SHOCKED to realize I had been shopping with my face looking like a racoon!!! What kind of product leaves such an embarrassing residue on one's skin?!!?

Left my elderly mom walking around the mall with night cream smeared on her face
Highly aggressive sales rep at Winnipeg Outlet Mall pulled my elderly, confused mom into the store. I came along as she was paying, but didn’t realize what was going on. She walked out with a $226 bottle of night cream - and unaware that the rep had sent her on her way with the sample application still smeared all around her eyes and cheeks. I have no idea they missed this as it was painfully obvious. Not sure if they though this was funny, or F they were just too eager to tally up their commission.
I see statements on this site that independent owners are to blame for the crappy approach these sales people take - and that the company itself doesn’t endorse these tactics. Very hard to believe that, when this is clearly fostered at all Adore locations.
Very telling that there are no returns allowed. This is a slimy operation that preys on people too innocent to say no, and who can’t do anything about it once they realize they’ve been taken advantage of.
I’ll be contacting the BBB, Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, and Outlet Mall management to voice my concerns with this operation. My mom has is no longer in my care today, otherwise I’d be contacting Visa and initiating a chargeback. I’d suggest other people who get ripped of by these people also request a credit card chargeback. That will minimize their ability to use aggressive tactics to extract large sums of money for their mediocre products. I’ll be following this up with other points of contact and to ensure Adore Cosmetics at Winnipeg Outlet Mall loses way more than the $226 they snaked from my mother.
I hope to see you out of business very soon.
A tip for consumers: when the salesperson is even remotely pushy, just leave.

Hello dear consumer - Thank you for sharing your experience with us. As you stated in your review, store owners are not associated with our brand or our online sales and customer service center, they are only licensed to sell our products at their retail locations. We are working with these retailers in order to establish a sales operating procedure to avoid situations like this one at all cost.

Extremely aggressive sales people
Extremely aggressive sales people, I went in to get their hand/body lotion and was told it was $250 but as a special I could get it for $125. Then I got a whole spiel about she would be happy to give it to me for free if I looked at some other facial products that I did buy. So far they just make my face itchy. Another sales person tried to sell some anti-aging creams for wrinkles around my eyes and mouth. I said I wanted to think about it 4 times and tried to walk out the door. It was getting to the point I was going to have to resort to an angry confrontation or call 911 to get out the door. BTW, I checked their site and it was $35 for the same hand/body lotion.

HORRIBLE! Avoid their stores
Absolutely terrible experience. We were in Palma and they pulled my mom aside and forced us inside the store, so that they could put products on us. What's even worse is, how they put some night treatment for lines around the eyes on my mom, and when we finally managed to get out of, what seemed to be a trap, my mom's skin was looking very weird and peeled off. So we had to go back and ask them to remove the awful product off of her. The woman (who wasn't the one who "helped" us before) said of course it looked like that, when it was supposed to be a night treatment. We didn't ask for treatments and were out shopping, no one of us were gonna go to sleep!!!
I cannot recommend this place! AWFUL STAFF and terrible experience with the products. It felt like the staff ganged up on us - and we really just wanted to leave. How you can hire people like that... Wauw.
Just ignore them when you pass the store, that's my best advice.
They didn't even apologize after removing the product.
Im just so mad.

Toxic Ingredients/doesn't work
OMG, I was shopping at the mall and was approached by one their salespeople. So pushy and ended up buying over $300 worth of products. Just noticed my bill and it's $100 over what I was quoted. Tried the products 2 times and got extreme exhaustion from them. The smell is horrible as well. Here are just 2 of the ingredients I Googled. No wonder:
1.Ethanol is considered broadly toxic and linked to birth defects following excessive oral ingestion.
2.the FDA issued a warning about its use in a cream, called Mommy Bliss, for nursing mothers.
3. The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) on phenoxyethanol states that it can cause skin and lung irritation. ... It notes that toxic effects can occur through inhalation, skin exposure, and ingestion.
Please read the thousands of negative reviews of people being pushed into these products while just shopping at the mall. Just because a cream is $1000 doesn't mean it works. Stall tactics and hang-ups from salespeople who wouldn't let me speak with the manager is unacceptable. My 100% organic cream for $30 from London Drugs works better in my opinion.
The comments they leave for reviews don't be fooled. They don't do anything. No wonder there is a no refund policy. Stay away from this company!

2. In the case of Mommy's Bliss nipple cream, it was found that this product contained harmful amounts of phenoxyethanol and other ingredients that when combined, mislabeled, and ingested, could cause respiratory diseases in infants.
3. Phenoxyethanol is an FDA approved preservative used in cosmetics with a concentration of less than 1.0%. Adore Cosmetics formula contains less than 1.0% of phenoxyethanol, making it safe for use in cosmetics products.

BEWARE of ADORE COSMETICS My wife and I …
BEWARE of ADORE COSMETICS My wife and I traveled to Hawaii in October, We were sold a bill of goods about a cosmetic. We were charged $260. When we got back on the ship, we tried it and it didn't work. I called them and was told that they would issue a credit. They also told us to keep the product which we have thrown out because it was garbage. Now the credit card company tells me that they are refusing to provide a credit and are charging me full price for their crap. This is definitely a rip off company, so please be careful.

Still feel totally taken by this …
Still feel totally taken by this company. Rushed environment, sales folks running around and then high pressure sales. Agreed to an initial purchase which was over $800 - then pressured into buying complete systems for both my husband and myself. The sales lady said you use them for 2 years, and then no more - we totally did not understand we were purchasing 8 boxes of everything! Seriously this happened on Ddc. 4th of 17 in Hawaii, and we are still very upset about this. And the no returns policy nicely shows up on your receipt, which is in no way made clear pre or during purchase. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
