Got an email from Stanton Optical with this great price for Acuvue contacts. I only got the new ones for the great price , and go in to find out it’s all after rebate. I go through with it, spending $260 instead of the $88 I thought I would be that day. Jumped through all of the hoops to get the rebate, filling out the forms and then mailing it all in. Just for them to tell me that my receipt can’t be processed. I already threw it away because I didn’t think I’d need it anymore. Ridiculous. Will NEVER buy again

If I could give zero stars, I would! These are the most expensive contacts I have ever purchased . They feel better than some. But, between the cost and the rebate offer and timeline, I’d rather go with the cheaper option. While I actually like the contacts, I will never buy them again because of the expense, rebate options, and customer service.

I bought a year supply of contacts for the rebate but when I went to submit it, I got a message that I already claimed it. Apparently you only have 30 days from when Acuvue sends you an email (which they sent the day the contacts got shipped to the ophthalmologist) which I wasn’t aware of and get so much junk emails that I don’t look at them unless I am expecting one. Even after contacting Acuvue, they weren’t willing to do anything. I have worn Acuvue contacts for years but will be looking for a different brand now.

I found out the brand is owned by Johnson and Johnson and performs horrific tests on animals. I don’t understand the point of doing this in this day and age with the available technology. I will not be buying from the company again.

On April 18 I received an email from Acuvue that if I ordered 3 more months of my contacts I would receive additional reward dollars. I actually was not planning to place this order for another six months but it would be worth it for me to receive an additional rebate to place it early. Once I placed the order and requested the rebate, the system said the rebate code Acuvue sent me was invalid. I contacted the company about this on April 25 and since then have been getting the runaround about the rebate. First they replied I had not purchased 9 months supply of the contacts, which I had. I sent an email with the original email they sent and they asked for screen shots of the email itself. I sent that and then they asked me to forward the original email. I've sent that and have not heard anything for five days to my latest email. From looking on websites such as Trustpilot, it appears this is a common bait and switch tactic of the company to accelerate revenue by promising rebates and then refusing to pay them.

I purchased Acuvue lenses for each eye, October 14, 2025. I did it at my doctors office optical world in Aventura because I would receive $100 rebate. When I sent it in, it would not allow me online to submit. It took me until March 2026 after multiple calls to Customer Service and my Drs office to rectify the situation or so I thought. I was first told that the program didn’t start until October 20, 2025 and that’s why I wasn’t entitled. However, when I told the Customer Service rep that the flyer my doctors office gave me started in July 1 and went through to December 31 of 2025. He said I don’t know about any flyer. Your doctors office must’ve made up their own flyers. I told him that their own rep for Acuvue was the one who gave them many booklets of these flyers advertising $100 rebate for a six month supply and $300 for one year supply. After an hour long frustrating conversation I called back another couple of weeks later and got a woman who at first told me the same thing then put me on hold and then came back and told me that my doctors office had not been signed up to do the program until October 20 and that was the reason the other rep told me that I wasn’t entitled. She then said I’ve spoken with the higher ups and they made an exception and they will honor your hundred dollar rebate. But I had to mail in my original receipts and wait for an email that was going to give me a confirmation code of that rebate. I paid a few dollars to have it sent but because it’s a PO Box I couldn’t get a signature. I took pictures of my original receipt because quite frankly I figured they would just say they didn’t receive it. And guess what, I got an email yesterday saying that they did not receive my receipt and that I did not include the confirmation code. I sent a letter with the confirmation code clearly stated along with the original receipt. Now I’m still trying to get in touch with Customer Service to find out what the hell happened because all I have is copies of the originals now. I am so unimpressed with Merkel. They have people from other countries as the Customer Service and most of them can’t speak English enough to be understood but have a very hard time knowing the rebate program and how it works. There should be a class action lawsuit and there probably will be sooner or later.

Ask your optometrist for better options that do not need a rinse. These contacts come with debris that hurt. I shouldn’t have to buy a rinse when they’re sitting in liquid. These contacts are incredibly painful when debris is on my eye and then you have to get the contact out right away which is tricky with pain involved. Hate these contacts! Changing them asap they’re not worth $99 a pack. Do better with your contacts the stuff floating in the case isn’t ok! OUCH!!! Do not buy these contacts they suck!!

I gonna speak about the Acuvue Moist. Before to ordre them, I got the acuvue oasys and they were really nice, but my ophtalmologist told me to try these new one. The 1st think I noticed is their thickness, they are reallyyyyy thin, i think the thickness compare to the oasys are divided by 2. And it’s horrible when you try to put them on because they always withdraw into themselves. 2nd thing, because of their thickness, one day when I was passing my ski exam, I thought I lose one contact lens, so I had to ski 3h with only one eye open (a disaster). But FINALLY, when i came back home, the contact lense was hidden beneath my eyelid, that’s crazy !!! It’s so dangerous omg, in more than 8 years of wearing contact lenses, I’ve never seen that happen !!! Worst contact lenses ever.
