I always test platforms with the smallest account first before committing more capital, and that’s exactly what I did with The5ers. I tried the Bootcamp program with the intention of eventually scaling up, adding larger accounts, and moving into the higher account tiers. Unfortunately, my experience has been very disappointing. My biggest issue is the execution platform. The web-based TradingView/DX-style environment is not reliable enough for the way I trade. I’m a swing trader, not a scalper. My strategy relies on technical analysis, planned entries, and placing limit orders at specific levels. A professional trading environment should clearly display pending orders, confirm execution, and provide confidence that your orders are actually active. Instead, I experienced issues where limit orders did not appear properly, execution felt unreliable, and I ended up relying on market orders. For swing trading, that is a major disadvantage. When you are entering based on levels, patterns, and analysis, you need your limit orders to work consistently. The other major issue is the risk parameters. A 6% drawdown limit is extremely restrictive for swing trading. Markets naturally move, and swing positions need room to develop. These rules feel more suited toward short-term futures-style trading rather than a strategy based on planned entries and larger market moves. My biggest frustration is the lack of proper platform options for U.S. traders. I should have the ability to use a true desktop trading environment, whether that is MetaTrader desktop, TradingView desktop, or another professional platform. Instead, you are limited to what feels like a white-label web version that requires you to be logged into their system and does not provide the same experience as a true desktop platform. I have been trading since 2011 and have professional finance experience, so I understand order placement and trade management. These issues were not beginner mistakes — they were problems with the trading environment. I was prepared to continue with The5ers, scale up, and purchase larger accounts. However, after seeing additional complaints from other traders regarding long account activation times and processing delays, I am reconsidering that decision. At this point, I will likely focus on futures prop firms instead. I also think traders should be aware that online ratings in the prop firm industry can be difficult to judge. Companies in this space often have strong marketing teams managing their online reputation, so I always recommend looking beyond the overall score and reading the actual complaints. The5ers has potential, but for experienced traders who require reliable execution, professional tools, and platform stability, these issues need to be addressed. I would be willing to test them again, but I will not spend more of my own money trying to adapt to a platform that I believe contributed significantly to my failure. If The5ers wants serious feedback from an experienced trader, I would gladly test another $100,000 Bootcamp account on their platform at their expense. If the experience improves, I would reconsider my review. But I’m not going to continue funding a system that I believe has execution and platform limitations. U.S. traders should have access to the same professional platform choices as everyone else. The technology should support the trader — not become another obstacle to overcome. Amount of time it takes to get used to I tried their small boot camp account and the limited amount of downside. I would never do the smaller one. I would do the larger one, but I’m not gonna spend another dollar on them. They’re stacking way too many things against US traders, especially with their forced execution platform I can get used to anything but I’m not gonna sit here and get used to their system when there’s FMPO and others that offer meditator in other desktop application options you should always have two options and one should always be desktop simple as that any argument against it is invalid I can get used to anything even a desktop application like trading view that has automatic logout and delay in other quirks, but that takes an adjustment phase and it is a true problem. I don’t know how everybody else feels about being forced to use a desktop based application that’s a white label version housed within a system that can log you out at any time that is not reliable as other desktop base system is other markets in terms of execution of your orders and entry of your orders, but the reason I’m leaving this review because every time I try to talk to them I get AI that just gives me the no answer but they don’t elaborate and the AI is pretty much convincing me that 5ERS is not what I thought it was Will see h
